    I think we use players names at times to get other players. Last season we made out we after Jason Pearce. He signed for Wigan and we signed Clarke Oduor instead in the same position. You could argue that smokescreen was the better end of the deal as his goal sent Wigan down.

    People shouldn’t get they’re hopes up about players without being realistic about our clubs finances, I’d rather our club give it a go which they have, but maintain financial stability and get someone we can afford

    I look at it like this...imagine if we'd paid a million for all those 17 players we signed in 2017. That's still a lot of money. (I know we didn't btw). The same goes for last summer.

    A loan signing and a player with game experience at the age of 26.

    We’re not only making signings, there is also some flexibility being shown on the age profile of the players coming in.

    Maybe the new plan is to raid Austria. Whatever - wherever we get players from, some will work, some won’t so if Struber thinks he can get better quality for less coin from close to home, great.

    I’m dubious as to whether we were ever in for Dykes, similarly Whiteman (though my donny supporting mate who tends to think he’s in the know told me days ago we’d bid for him), I think our club is used to flush out other bidders at times.
