    I think styles will be the first player we sell for over 10 million, he oozes class. Well done to the club for rewarding him with a new deal.

    Still don’t get the reasoning around your argument. Players will be sold if their contract is running out to the highest bidder. Players on long term will only be sold if the price meets the boards demand. Unless the player demands something in the contract. Eg Adam Hammill.

    We sold brad potts with 2 and half years left for 1.5 million we then sold our top scorer kieffer moore for less than 3 and he had 2 years remaining. Our valuations of players do seem very low.

    And imho overrated.

    Admitted. kieffer Who I thought was worth more. But that is Just my opinion. We as fans tend to think players are worth more than clubs are prepared to pay. (happens at all clubs. In the main) I believe we got £2.5 m + add ons to £3m.
    If he was that good. ( and believe me when I say, I think he’s improved on his performances whilst at Barnsley.) His market value has dropped. Cardiff offered £2.3m in January. Ended up paying £2m. If he’s as good as you think he is. Surely Cardiff would have been gazzumped. All clubs were aware of Wigan’s plight but obviously thought not worth a punt.
    I am aware of the argument we should have made him see his contract out. But why would you keep an unhappy player ( who will not perform at his best given his mindset) then get nowt. for him.
