That was last season ST. Struber needs to plead with the board not to sell him and show more faith in him
by playing him regularly. Anyone with an eye for a player, can see the lad is a prospect and like Styles
needs to be given his chance.

If the price is 'right' he'll go. One thing we do know about the board is that they will sell. No matter who it is, or when it is. All this talk about needing to keep him would be true if we prioritised league position. But we don't. Fully expect Alex, Cauley and possibly Jacob to be gone by October. Don't like it one bit, but after Potts, Kieffer,, Lindsay and Ethan, the track record is pretty clear.

My thoughts about Clarke O’duor are these:
He is one of the most technically gifted players at the club.
And still only a young player.
All players develop physically at different rates.
Other similar aged players at the club look physically stronger and maybe quicker at this stage of their career.
Strength and speed are what Gerhard is looking for in his players.
IMO that’s why Clarke is only on the fringes of the team.
But give him another 6 months to a year and there will be a difference in his physique.
Couple that with his already gifted technical ability and we have a hell of a player on our hands.

Wish it was otherwise but tend to agree. Selling Moore just before window ended last summer convinced me of this.

He isn't going to knock back premier league football and the wages that come with it so he can bench warm with us as a bit part player.

if Sheff Utd can see his potential then surely G Struber must have too and will surely play him regularly

Pity he won't be in a reds shirt in 6 Months then isn't it. This board would sell their grandmother's if a bit of cash were waved under their noses unless of course she's already been flogged to finance another club purchase.

Unfortunately the "who" does not matter to our owners, how many times must we remind our fans? Everyone has their price, they are here to make profit and hopefully make us better...financially.

With the exception of Potts, think they stated something needed sorting for that one.

Hmmm we are looking at players who are over 23 so maybe the "Statement" that errors were made includes selling players too cheap or who we do not need to sell...

Fingers crossed because many of us see a real talent there and if we sell in12 months after a good season we may finally get what a player is worth.

Wilder plays with wing backs so Oduor is definitely suited to that system with less defensive responsibility.

Enda Stevens is first choice & I can’t see that changing but if Oduor gets the chance to play cup games & come in if Stevens is ever injured or suspended as well as getting a massive pay rise I’ve no doubt he’ll want to go.

Do you really believe that if he is on the bench for us - that he will go straight into Sheffield Uniteds 1st team ??????
One things for sure - he will get regular 1st team football quicker at Barnsley than he will do at Sheffield.

    Well the evidence suggests o_O

but despite the complete lack of evidence there’s a body of our fans who truly ‘believe’ the board are selling players to line their own pockets.

But like religion, unicorns and a successful Brexit, a lack of evidence doesn’t stop people believing.

Barnsley have needed to sell for all of the 30 years that I've followed the club. And at the moment, there'll be reduced income from season tickets, given the reduced price as well as money they'll lose on pay on day, away fans etc...

Have no problem with selling to a Premier League club, as long as they pay a fair fee. Much easier to take than the ones that move to mid to lower end of the Championship that aren't really much of a step up footballing wise.

Forget players coming other way , they won’t take a wage decrease we can’t compete with even the lower wages from prem .

    That's what they promised, yes.

But it's like politicians, say one thing to get in power then when they have it, they can do whatever

He won't go in to their first team but he will be on life changing premier league wages and be at a premier league club. It would beat being with us sat on a bench whilst the two Williams are above him in the pecking order when I think he's better than both.
