Longer transfer window, less money knocking about, so hardly surprising. Will take a boring transfer window, after last summer's chaos.
Doug O'Kane said the other day that it'd be a quiet week and nothing is close. My concern is that we end up selling Mowatt and Woodrow at the end of September and are left way behind!
Agreed if we dont sell any key players we dont need too many more - another LB would be good as would a striker but we have basically the side that under Struber was playing mid table form - have a bit more experience I dont want an exciting window this summer
Think whatever happens we need to be making signings this window. People we sign now should be with a view to replacing those we know we'll likely sell in the future. Give them time to bed into the system and then step up when required - like Styles.
A pessimistic view of our transfer dealings is entirely rational based on all known evidence to date.
Id say a striker, a holding mid.. and now we've lost Ben Williams a left full/wing back maybe on a season loan But i wouldn't still be surprised to see ether Mowatt or Woodrow move before Oct deadline
Our squad is already top heavy & we have some good youngsters who need to be involved in the match day squad, we cannot afford to be signing more players than we need otherwise we are heading for financial problems.
We need players no doubt about it, outplayed in the majority of games last season even the ones where we gained points. Players need to be moved on also..... If Struber has mid table form by the end of next season then I will hold my hands up and say I'm wrong but I think he's one of the luckiest managers wev had.
Up to 5 days ago. According to an article I’ve read. 14 clubs in the championship have signed less players than us. (2) 5 x 0. 9 x 1 Millwall have gone mad as have QPR Would have copied the link but it’s littered with ads.
