Also, Le Tiss was one of my favourite players growing up but he’s not helped himself with his tin foil hat brigade he’s been spouting on Twitter regarding the Coronavirus.

I mean it's wrong, but it's nowhere near the level of error you get from some other pundits. I was watching the Champions League final the other night and Steve Mcmanaman called Bayern Munich Borussia Dortmund twice within about 10 minutes

Also, it could just mean ‘started a game’, in no way does she say ‘started his career’. Sorry, i’ll stop replying now!

It's not to say all ex pros are poor - I find Jenas and Murphy pretty good on the Beeb, but I appreciate others may not.

But to simply generalise that people will be employed because of their gender or skin colour is an odd view, which is what is being insinuated by a few.

Nope, non whatsoever. Maybe it's just you that has issues with Phil Thompson and the other 'dinosaurs'. I've always enjoyed them, they bring a lot of knowledge and passion to their punditry, something a lot of the viewers relate to...... Each to their own I suppose.!

Forgetting who they may replace them with I don't see how you can move Tiss or Thomo on and keep Merson. He's almost like comic relief and must be terrible for anyone who is interested in the game he is reporting on.

Le Tissier has completely lost the plot on Brexit and that tool Johnson. Check his Twitter if you like the taste of your own vomit. Good riddance to him, the daft ****

You'll stop and thousands of women and young lads will start so I'm sure they won't mind. Who's a young lad going to tune in to watch? Alex Scott or Matt Le Tissier?

Football on TV has more of a role than just entertaining "John", who has had 3 pints, gone to the game, and wants to watch it back after a curry on a Saturday night.

Football on TV is funded to promote grassroots football. Within that is the expansion of sport for people within the target groups - women, minority groups etc. To help promote their inclusion and health. So sorry, "John", you're already confidently involved. The reason why you're now seeing "Jade" is because her mates still need a bit of encouragement.

I wouldn’t really say it was a narrative that Sky are pushing. Football is full of talented, black players and has been for a long time. The question shouldn’t be why Sky are only replacing now, it should be why weren’t more of the older black players pundits in the first place!

There are also a number of recently retired players that know the modern game much better than some of these old pundits so a change is needed.

Nothing to do with what she looks like that, probably why this fonzie thinks she’s good.
Now if you said Laura woods then yes she is interesting to listen to and I could put up with her.
