Got a hole in one at Footgolf Rother Valley today. One of my best football highlights ever. Anyone else had a hole in one?! (Hides behind sofa awaiting usual replies!)
Well done. Bet you was well pleased with yourself. What's footgolf like? Fun? And how long does it last?
Thanks, all the better as I played the shot with my left foot. Footgolf is great, alot easier than real golf, it has to be said!. Rother Valley is a decent course (there's one at Hillsborough that is terrible). 9 holes = about an hour or so. Best course I've played is in Cornwall - St Austell.
I'm going to assume you're right footed or using your left isn't nearly as an impressive thing to say Rother valley is the one I was looking at going to so it's good to know that it's a decent one.
Yes, right footed. It's decent. The tees are shared with a 9 hole pitch and put, but the greens are different, so no clash. £6 for 9 holes. Undulating course. Nice bar/ food if you want it.
Glad I saw this. I've been fancying taking both my lads to play this. But not known anyone that's ever been. So you reckon it's good for a slightly aging and overweight dad with 2 lads at 11 and 14 for a decent laugh?
Definitely. Most holes are 60 -90 yards and par 3. Good variety of uphill / downhill and left/ right turn to the hole. Not too much by way of obstacles, so most holes are definitely do-able without too much trauma, but challenging enough. Elite players might find it a bit easy, I'd say, but definitely good for kids.
Well done Fired - did you have to buy a round for everyone there I got a hole in one earlier this year on a proper golf course though it doesnt really count as it was a reload after hitting my first tee shot well into the jungle to the left of the green
How annoying - what a shame. It was a strange set up regarding buying drinks as it was a booking table ordering system, and there were only three of us playing. I ended up getting half a lager off my mate, and going home because I was driving. I'll get the beers in when we have a social. It just felt a bit subdued to do it there for three people driving, and no-one else. Not quite the proper golf club set up.
Yes, it was very quiet, and it's table service only with a one way system. (i had to do 2 laps of the club house to find the Ladies toilet!).
Never had a hole in one but when I was about 9 I miss-hit my tee off and then chipped in from about 150 yards
I never had a hole in one at golf but have got it in the hole with a 6 iron from the tee on a par 3 156 yard up hill...it was a provisional ball!!!!
