    We **** ourselves once the asking price goes above 1m and we spaff our pants when we get an offer over 1.5m for our players. We wont get Whiteman cos
    a) hes good
    b) weve heard of him
    c) other clubs are in for him.
    d) we can get half as good a player on the continent for a quarter of the price.

    Yes I think we do we’re lacking a holding midfielder which I think would then help Mowatt push forward more and make us more of an attacking threat.

    I think there's no such thing as a holding midfielder. A midfielder should be able to tackle, pass, thread a pass and shoot. I think back to Williams and Gardner. Might aswell have played 6 defenders.

    If Mowatt doesn't sign a new deal then yes.. Expect him to leave would need replacing..

    I understand Ben Whiteman is someone Barnsley are hoping to sign, but the Doncaster manager and ex-Red Darren Moore has said publicly all bids too low so far. Rumours of approaches for Hertha’s Pascal Kopke and a big Sheffield Utd bid for Clarke Oduor wide of the mark, I’m told.

    We wont let him go for free at end of season, if he doesnt sign a deal he will be gone. See lindsay and pinnock season before.
