Seen reports on twitter that we are after WBA midfielder Sam Field. Huddersfield, Cov and QPR also linked apparently.

Probably a load of rubbish as its from Twitter but sure we have been linked to this lad before.

Was he on loan at Charlton last season? Rumours had him signing for us a couple of times in the last 18 months.

Could be some truth as we were after him last season before he decided to join Charlton.

Other championship clubs interested, tends to make it unlikely...

He was, started doing well there I think until he picked up an injury. I am sure I have seen us linked in the past.

"BirminghamLive has been told four Championship clubs are keen on the 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan with Charlton.

It is thought Albion are ready to move on from the Stourbridge-born youngster who has played 40 times for the Baggies since 2016.

And having made 17 league appearances for the Addicks last term, he could be set to continue in the second tier with QPR, Huddersfield, Coventry and Barnsley all interested."

In addition, it seems that our Belgian cousins are interested as well.

"K.V. Oostende are also said to be keen as they prepare for their campaign in the Belgian top flight."

They could buy him then loan him to us  Doesn't count against our books then and saves us a few quid.

He got in the Baggies first team whilst still a teenager and I seem to recall him scoring in one of his first games and looking a really good prospect. I think that he is best suited to left wing-back, or left midfield, which makes me wonder if he would replace any possible move by Oduor. I would rather that we kept Clarke, to be honest, but if the Blades did end up offering us silly money, he would be a more than competent replacement. If we are up against Birmingham and QPR, I would forget it. QPR have the huge income from the Ese sale and Blues are still spending money as if there were no tomorrow.

Well.... we'd probably try and knock the fee down after we'd paid for him, then extend the length of payment terms..... and then not pay anyway (allegedly) ;-)

Blues spending money like there's no tomorrow? Doesn't look like they've spent anything yet, lol :)
