    Athersley Rec are hosting Charnock in the extra preliminary round of this season's FA Cup on Tuesday night, 7.45pm KO. Only six wins from the First Round proper :D

    But genuinely, if you've been gagging to go and watch some football, this is a great excuse to. And clubs like Rec need supporting. It's worth at least £1,600 if they get through in prize money, and I think they're allowed 500 fans in under current guidelines etc.

    Great club run by great folk.

    EDIT: 300 fans apparently

    there’s a few steps of regulations, first is 150, then 300 etc, if they’ve not had a home game yet first one is capped at 150

    Must admit when picking out a game (Newark FC, Newmarket FC and Peterborough North Stars were all considered) I did see Enfield Town and think back to this game. 30,000 Reds Fans going down to White Hart Lane for the replay and making it Tottenham's biggest attendance that season - I'm sure someone said more than the North London Derby that season.

    Coming all over massive mate. 30,000 reds. ? . Think it was estimated 8-10000.( But The attendance was bigger than the London Derby. 32-33,000 ) circa. 35,500 if I’m right the biggest ever between a third division side and a non league side.
    I do believe spurs were having work done on the ground tbf and the Derby game attendance was restricted.

    Popped over to Sheerian Park. I bet there was very close to the 300 allowed inside the stadium. Rec were comfortably beaten by Charnock Richard FC 3-1, but it was a good evening nonetheless.

    283 apparently, which is huge for them. Shame that all three local sides were knocked out on the night though.
