Has anyone had a letter with the above organisations logos on?

I’ve received 2 letters from them in recent weeks asking me to take part in a Covid-19 testing research study, I replied and they’ve sent me a test kit but I’m wondering why I’ve been selected and if anyone else has anything like this too.

Maybe I’m overthinking things with it all, they txt me yesterday asking if I’d done the test yet and if so they can get a courrier to collect it........all seems a little rushed but like a say I’m not sure if I’m over thinking things

I was selected to take part in antibody test - same company. Think they just take a random sample from nhs register with a view to helping them understand prevelance across the country.

I did but I think it was different one to yours as I didn't need to send it back. Was just a pin ***** blood test which gave results in 20 mins - just had to submit results online.

Got my letter yesterday for a pin blood test, went online and agreed, think they're trying to get a better idea of how many of us have had it maybe without even knowing.

This is essential to seeing what level of immunity & exposure exists. Should have been done sooner.

People should not be driving 75 miles for a test though to see if they have COVID. Dido makes Grayling & Hancock not look like a successful right wing comedy act. They get a gig on the BBC occasionally don't they?

No, they come to house and collected by courier on Tuesday afternoon.
She was told she had to do at 8 am as courier could come anytime after on that day.

They wrote to her saying she’d been selected and asked her to take test last Monday, result emailed today.

Has she done the online survey too? I got mine picked up earlier today, that at back of the throat isn’t pleasant

As an aside I participate in the nationwide sampling of diverse individuals organized through the office for national statistics. I get an agent through to my place every few weeks for nose and throat sample. Will last until next year. Don't know if anyone else is in this study on here.

She said she had to do one to confirm taking part? Yes she said it wasn’t pleasant

There are at least 2 studies going on then because we just got one from the ONS - Oxford vaccine lot with an On Her Majesties Service logo - this one they come to you for the tests and test both for current virus presence and the antibody test , you can also opt to be monitored once a week for a month and then once a month for a year and get a £25 voucher per test. Think we are both going to sign up for it - at least for the first test and probably the year but may change our minds depending on how unpleasant the test is

It’s not absolutely horrific but it’s just unpleasant, probably after first few times you’ll be fine with it. It’s good to see study’s of this nature taking place to try and understand this virus in greater detail
