Joy Fyfe - Some sad news

    Just been on Twitter and seen a post from one of the team involved with Redfearn's bar saying that Joy, a lifelong red, has passed away. Her husband Andy, I think, was involved with South Riding fanzine and the Supporters Club/Trust, both followed Barnsley everywhere. I didn't know them particularly well, but always seemed to see them when travelling away and in the Ponty End car park after matches. RIP Joy, and condolences and love to Andy.

    Awful news. I've known them both since getting involved with the Supporters' Club in the mid-90s and would often bump into them at matches.

    Joy was part of the group that I was on Soccer AM with during the Premiership season, on the day before the Chelsea home game. Sky insisted that the fans of the week group had to be all male at the time, so they did a short separate feature in the show with the two ladies in the group, where they did nothing to hide their displeasure at their treatment.

    My condolences to Andy. Rest in peace, Joy.

    Deepest condolences to Andy, Joy was a lovely lady. My uncle who worked with Andy on South Riding will I am sure have a good catch up about all things BFC RIP Joy.
