He didn't have a bank account. This was the problem according to one of the lad's who helped set up the fund. Asylum seekers must not be allowed to set up an account. Shame.
FFS Surely someone who looks after refugees could open an account on his behalf.Give this lad a break, the poor bugger has been mugged by Peel Square parasites !!!!!
is there more to this story? There would have been no problem had the guy been bought a phone by someone or bought some other things. Had I donated I wouldn't have minded if the money had gone to others in the local Sri Lankan community or indeed any other group of similarly placed local people. And I'm sure Mr Sothilingham himself would have been happy with that. I would guess most donations would have been relatively small amounts and it would be quite difficult to return all the monies given.
I donated and it was refunded into my account this week. Anyone got a suggestion as to where I can send it now? Preferably some refugee type charity.
What is it about Rule Britannia that you suddenly object to that didn't trouble you this time last year ?
No one objects to it. It's just the snakebelly media s*** stirring to get the gammon mouth breathers riled up. It worked.
