I like many yesterday was unable to stream the match. I tried every option that has been suggested by this forum's contributors and others besides. I emailed the EFL support and got a reply "try resetting your password". Something I had done to no effect. I even tried setting up new accounts , as we received three passwords for the three season tickets in the family. There are fundamental issues with the whole IT system. Fans are paying for season tickets to watch the games. They are denied that privilege, not by the Club, but by the incompetence of the EFL.
It was very disappointing, I must admit. Though totally not the fault of the club. Illegal/dodgy streams are frowned upon as they steal revenue from the clubs, but I am being forced down that road. I exhausted our two codes, to no avail, on the tv and iPad, then paid a tenner for my third failed attempt on wife’s work computer. I’ll take this one on the chin and just look forward to getting back to attending matches for real.
Both mine and my son's codes were "invalid" and in the end I too gave up and ended up watching it via a stream on the internet. Surely in this day and age it cannot be too difficult to get right?
I didn’t het to see the match either. Couldn’t reset my account password, couldn’t get the passcodes to work. Absolute garbage. Giving season ticket holders iFollow access is the least that could be expected for the money we’ve paid. I appreciate this is an EFL issue but the club need to push them to sort it out asap.
Having just moved house I didn't have the setup for "other means" so I just missed out. I'm still angry about it having had similar issues twice last season. In my anger I emailed asking to refund my season Membership. I don't know if the club will be willing to do that. If they are I might just take it and re asses if we are ever allowed to watch football in person again.
I'd just like to say that it worked fine for me, until my Wi-Fi signal dropped, but that was only a short interruption. Then again, I am a international season pass holder, as I have been for several years.
A mate of mine watches Wednesday matches for £3.50 a go via an ‘alternative’ streaming service. I can see why people do this when the iFollow service is so unreliable...
Surely its not hard to get a passcode that works. Why did I get an invalid voucher code when others had no problem? Who ever is in charge of IT at Ifollow needs a serious bollocking and needs to get it sorted before the next game. Matching the input code against the pass codes sent out isn't difficult for a computer programmer.
I emailed the club earlier. Obviously not the only one to do as I got this cut and paste reply: IFOLLOW ISSUES EXPERIENCED ON SATURDAY We are aware that supporters encountered issues when attempting to access Barnsley FC’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Luton Town on iFollow. In light of complaints received across the EFL, on Saturday 12 September we noted feedback specific to Barnsley FC supporters and have since asked the EFL for answers and further guidance. We hope to be in a position to advise supporters further in the coming days. Note, a number of complaints were quickly rectified. If you are struggling to access an account/stream, please consult our iFollow FAQs page. [https://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/2020/september/ifollow-faqs/] A reminder to all seasonal members, Tuesday’s Carabao Cup fixture is not included in the streaming entitlement. All seasonal members will receive a new iFollow code via email for the Coventry City fixture (26 September) during the week commencing 21 September.
I pay £60 a year get every teams I follow all sky sports and bt sports and box office . Will have my money back in less than a month. I get it’s revenue away from the club but I’m not paying for a **** service. Plus it takes my monthly payment to sky sports away from them
That's still too much to watch Wednesday though. In fact if they paid me a tenner I'd still turn it down, lol
