    On the basis that we were absolutely awful there in our last away game with fans in attendance, that they are a big, athletic, physical team and that we have done next to nothing to fill the yawning gaps in personnel that we have to be effective against this increasingly common type of team I can see nothing more than a comfortable Reading win, 3-0 or 3-1.

    The only saving graces are potentially the emergence of Mads after lockdown and the three centre back system which may help because Puscas gave Halme a terrible time in the February game and tore Sollbauer a brand new backside. Oh, and Chaplin could not miss three sitters again, could he?

    If memory serves this was the game in which Schmidt was on for 33 minutes without a touch and Ritzmaier sank to a new low even for him, albeit Bahre was no better.

    At least Jeremy Simpson is not 'referee' this time
