My Wife did before she met me, she did come back though, the allure of the Corner Pin and the White Hart was just too strong :D:D:D

No, you’re not being cynical. The board has always maintained that they assembled a squad to play in a certain way, and that they will recruit a likeminded coach. If they need to replace the coach, they will do so.

    Why wouldn't he go!

What's here to make him stay other than the love for 'my boys'

He has started to voice his concerns about transfer activity, probably knows that no one will come in, more than likely knows that someone will probably leave

Club split in 2 behind the scenes, we haven't got enough in the squad for it not to be another tough season.

Quadruple his money, be given a pot to strengthen his squad & opportunities to move within the organization.

Add to that NYC & a chance to experience that for a year or two!

Board will be happy for him to leave cos they are getting compensation for him

All that above is cynical, but unfortunately very true..

Good luck to him if he goes.

Agree with that. Every way you look at it, it makes sense. RB structure. Incredible new city. More money. Likely to get more resource. Club get compensation rather than paying it.

Only block if this rumour has legs may be distance. But i'd expect RB to be talking about home comings after a period if he does well, or he may just love the place and stay a while. Who knows.

Gerhard is just a Bird on a Wire, waiting to see what’s going on down below. Won’t be long before he’s Leaving the Table (he’s leaving the game).

First line of that song, as you’ll know, is

“They sentenced me to twenty years of boredom” - not something you experience as a Reds fan. Never a dull moment. Another musical reference for ya.
