Sounds like he's off then, provided the money talks. Not optimistic if he does leave.

I like the guy but wouldn't be bothered. I might apply for the job because I think I could pick a Barnsley XI to beat his Barnsley XI.

If Gerhard was to leave, we'd end up with our eighth Head Coach/Temporary Head Coach with this board in less than three years.

    "Release clause"

It's just a matter of time now then.

Crucially, we'd also be repeating the cycle yet again of quickly dis-illusioning a successful manager with our approach to transfer activity at Championship level.

Struber's situation looks increasingly like that of Stendels. How soon until the owners throw him under the bus too?

Quickly followed by comments from the club along the lines of "It's not our fault. Struber wanted to leave".

Their first choice would be whoever they appoint next. Until he then leaves.:D

    It really is groundhog day.

I wonder if someone will put in a below par offer for our floodlights, which they'll reluctantly accept. We'll then not replace them citing excessive maintenance costs that they were firstly unaware of and secondly feel that the council and the Crynes should pay for them, before threatening to sue Thomas Edison post humously while instead trying to get through the season playing in the dark and declaring the situation the best in our history.

Dane could have said “He’s our coach, we want him to stay, we have no intention on letting him leave. However there is a clause and if that is met .........”
A clear definitive answer, stead the answers can be construed either way and do nothing to address concerns people may have.

Why? Morais aside we've a very successful record in recent years with Hecky, Stendel and Struber.

I can’t help thinking managers or first team coaches and their agents would have been onto this .
If they had certain things inserted in their contracts then the board would be in breach surely .
Don’t know the ins and outs but it’s not as if it’s a secret how the board treat Stendal so I’d be sacking my agent if he’s been thrown under a bus as alleged tbh .
Not saying Struber is wrong in what’s wanted on the contrary I agree just curious as to why he’s signed a contract when all the information on the owners track records are their and then decides to criticise after .
