Not saying he has, I was responding to a poster who said they believed he had.

Yes Luton’s is well balanced, has a mixture of youth & experience & lots of championship & football league experience. We’re desperate for a forward like Collins as well

no offence but none of those they are at best bit part players rather than quality signings. You could exempt Ludewig from that but his youth brings erratic performances.

He is saying exactly the same things the last 2 managers have and he’s right.

We battered Luton at their place only 6/7 games ago and they pretty much got away with a point despite the late Halme goal. Since then we’ve lost Brown and signed Frieser yet we couldn’t be going in more opposite directions.

I think our recruitment and support could be better, but Struber is in no position to chime on about not getting the quality.

No offence back, but bit part players? Sollbauer, Ritz and Ludewig have probably started 90% of games they’ve been available for and Frieser has started four games in five this season?

its a matter of time, transfers end monday ( or after for british signings) so if no new players of quality signed then struber is off and so would i if in his position

    I
thought his comments was basically saying there’s not much coming through in terms of that

We'll get truth next year when Nudger holidays in New York and bumps into Struber on a bike ride in Central Park.

    We'll get the lowdown.

Respect him for saying what needed to be said, but I doubt it will have any effect

If we are lacking quality in the team why are the players being encouraged to back heel it? So many times players had their back to goal and tried a fancy back heel that went nowhere. Keep it simple.

Be slightly awkward if his move falls through for any reason, pretty sure the move is all tied up though.

I’ve liked Struber and defended him a bit on here. His selections are often strange but he’s got results. Up until this season that is.

This season we are getting worse as it goes on and I don’t get what has changed so much from after lockdown? We’ve lost Brown yes but were we really that reliant on him? I don’t think so. And if we were then replace him before he moves on, if our deals fall through (like they apparently have) then stop Brown going until we get something sorted for us. Christ we haven’t replaced Kieffer Moore from last summer yet.

We have zero creativity going forward. Nobody looks comfortable ever, half of our shots seem to be a poor connection and half our crosses seem to be overhit, hopeful ones. Don’t even want to go into set pieces because there’s enough on that to warrant its own thread!

The 5-2-1-2 formation just seems too defensive for me. When our wing backs don’t get forward we have zero width. If we ping the ball around at pace, we look half decent. But then still freeze in the final third. Let’s get back to playing with wingers. Simoes, Oduor, Thomas.

    Walton
    Ludewig - Andersen - Sollbauer - Williams
    Simoes - Mowatt - Styles - Oduor
    Woodrow - new target man

Then we can have Chaplin, Schmidt, Frieser, Thomas all off the bench to change it up a bit when needed. And we can get Odour on set pieces as he seemed by far the best option we’ve got on them, although it’s been a while since anyone’s seen him take them.

No sympathy for Struber. He has been backed bringing in a handful of players from abroad who had no experience of English football and it is telling. If he did his homework he will have known before he joined to use us as a stepping stone how we operate. Putting a release clause in his contract made it look like he was trying to leave from day one. Bahre scored the other night and we are struggling for goals but he thinks Victor for example is a better sub option than a Stendel boy. The board have kept his team together as he has only lost one major player which isn't unreasonable in a transfer window.

I’ve no sympathy for Struber either. He signed knowing exactly what the club are like - his comments prove that too.

This is either a parting shot as he’s going.

    Or

Hoping to get the push/reduced buy out fee to force the Red Bull deal through.

The club won’t sack him with the potential of €2m coming in.

I’d hope this is a parting shot. If he’s playing silly buggers to force the move, I’ve no patience or respect for that.
