Yup. For me he’s forcing the move.

Some detail hasn’t been agreed, and he’s used the interview to try and force the detail to be agreed.

We won’t sack him (yet). But I totally agree - if he didn’t have the €2m compo figure on his head, he’d be gone tonight.

And for me, he signed up to this when he joined. He knew the score how we operate and by signing the contract, he accepts it. He might be frustrated, but he shouldn’t complain.

Chaplin's purple patch was when Struber first came wasn't it? It seemed that post January when he had made the changes everything dropped off.

My guess is the parties are squabbling over a million quid or so. That’s all it is, all will be forgotten in a months time.

the reality is the owners’ sweet spot is 4th bottom in the championship having shifted a few players in the interim for a few quid. Sadly this stone cold reality is brutally unpalatable; lacking magic, beauty, hope, and every ingredient that makes football what it is, was and should be to me, my dad and my kids. Respectively.

the club should be owned by its fans, there’s no argument.

100% agree. The angriest I’ve been with a manager since Spackman sacked Big Eric. We all have issues with these owners but they’ve enabled him to bring in a centre back, Ludwig back on loan and a forward (all Austrian so presumably his signings), plus a midfielder. All whilst finances are tight throughout EFL. Yes we need a striker but he’s already got Woodrow and Chaplin who he can’t get any form out of. He’s got Simoes and Odour who he never plays. He has played Styles as a wing back, Mowatt so deep he’s practically a defender. His comments have disgusted me. He has shown he only cares about himself. A parasite.

If Stendel had said what Struber said today the BBS would be fully behind him.

But are they really billionaires or was it all press talk and smoke and mirrors? They’ve purchased us like every other club they own on loans. They appear to be charlatans of supposed extreme wealth to me.

It’s because they weren’t prolific enough to compensate for the goals we let in, and we all know, he had forfeit whatever needed to be forfeited to stop us conceding so easily.
It appears to me that he had to forfeit goal scoring ambition and concentrate on clean sheets, and hope to somehow pinch the odd goal here and there.
It’s crap, I know, but what do you do? You’ve got to stop conceding goals no matter what the cost

What statement are you talking about ?
I’ve listened to the Radio Sheffield post match 3 times and there is nothing in there of how you describe it.
In fact it is contrary to what you say here.

The we let him sign a couple of players so he has no point thing is a bit daft. Do we think he was allowed to scour world football and pick who he wanted or he was given a tiny budget so tried to go with players he knew who might be ok...

I agree that he hasn't been backed by the board - it's as plain as day.

    However.

You then have to absolutely work with the best that you've got. Do everything you can to eke out the best possible performances from your players. Play them in their best positions. Pick players on form. Have a Plan B. Don't alienate members of the squad for no real season.

Since restart and the negative tactics he used, we managed 0-0 draws against sides we should have been attacking, all whist he sat there doing nothing before making subs in the 87th minute.

We would have been relegated if it wasn't for Callum Styles producing one of the best things I've ever seen in a Reds shirt at home to Forest and Mowatt lunging to hook the ball back into the box against Brentford. Oh and Schmidt's uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time - a player who also hasn't been sighted this season.

The whole thing is baffling from top to bottom. The Owners and the Head Coach are both responsible.

Double post. May as well use it.

To those saying they admire Struber for speaking the truth. What would the reaction be if Dane Murphy had been interviewed last night:

"We've got a manager who doesn't match our ambitions. He's got Chaplin on the bench who scored 15 goals last season and he's still persisting on playing Ritzmaier. And what he's done to Woodrow I do not know"

Some things have to be said behind closed doors.
