    No, Isaac is coming off the back of a long-term injury so isn't being rushed into action. He got 45 minutes the other day and I imagine it'll be a while before he's ready for the first team.

    I'm pretty sure we'll sign someone. And no doubt they'll be too young/old, the wrong nationality, unnecessary, wrong position, too expensive, a cheap gamble etc etc. :D

    So deadline day for foreign players coming into the club . After Struber's radio interview it seems that he has come to the same conclusion that Hecky and Stendel did, ie that the board are not bothered about progressing in the championship and won't give any financing of quality purchase any real conviction. Who would want to come to BFC as headcoach/Manager knowing what has happened to Hecky,Daniel S and now G Struber.

    For gods sake, solbauer, Ritzmaer and Freizer have all been brought in supposedly at the request of Struber. Ritzmaer and Freizer must be the worst players ever to wear a Barnsley shirt. Surely you must see it, surely you must see that Struber is so out of ideas that he deflects his shortcomings on to the board knowing that gullable fans will believe what he says. What we need is a manager who will play our strikers in their correct positions and build a midfield around them. Its not rocket science

    As always with our current owners be another case of over promising and under delivering deadline day. Won’t have heard of anyone we do sign and can only hope they turn out to be decent eventually.

    We need better players! ATM, with this squad we can either score goals and concede shed loads, or be tight at the back and be toothless up front. With this squad, it seems we can’t have goals and clean sheets . But that’s not to say that some of the players won’t be worth more when we sell than we paid. And there’s the rub!!

    Personally, the bare minimum is:

    - someone who has the ability to take set pieces - ideally a midfielder but a full back would suffice
    - a forward who can hold the ball up, if they are physical then good, if they are big and physical even better, if they are big, physical and fast - awesome, if they are big, physical,fast and can score goals then I'll have their babies

    and at this stage I don't care if they are permanent or loans (we're that desperate).

    With GS departing and no signings on the horizon I'm looking forward to a new hope and with this in mind Luke Skywalker to be appointed as replacement. At least he'll be able to use his old Jedi mind tricks on everybody and get us some results and an improvement on confidence.
