When I try to press him for source he keeps saying HP......thinks hes funny.....he is 84 mind....but that's no excuse
Has he got lost on his way to become manager of an ambitious well run club that doesn't trash former employees when they leave.
One man club, from someone inside Burnley got told he tore the club apart - very divisive figure who wanted to control everything, there's absolutely no way he'd come here as a head coach.
My Cousin and her husband who are both season ticket holders at Dean Court ( they still call the ground that) were massive fans of Sean O'Driscoll when he was AFC Bournemouths gaffer, to the point that when her hubby hired the clubs main suite for her 60 th birthday celebrations, O' Driscoll and his assistant Richard O'Kelly were both guests. We were down there on holiday at the time and I got chatting to O'Driscoll at that do and he came over as an extremely nice bloke. They have been telling me that they were both absolutely distraught when Eddie Howe quit. They maintain that including O'Driscoll and another one of their favourites Harry Rednapp, Howe was far and away the best manager the Cherries have ever had, which is praise indeed.
I would be delighted if we appoint Eddie Howe - Id also be delighted if we signed Harry Kane - its about as likely
Agree FR, we've absolutely no Jack Palance of appointing anyone of Howes calibre. Cousin reckons he didn't have the stomach for another stint in the second tier having spent five of his eight years with the club managing in the Premier Division. They are of the opinion that after a rest and some quality time with his family, he will probably give it another go with one of the Southern based clubs re- Brighton, West Ham or Southampton, if and when a vacancy occurs and they are still in the Premiership of course.
