Instead of guessing who the new gaffer will be .....let's guess what ballax Conway and co will spout not only about his arrival but what next gem they come out with

I'm looking forward to this more than the arrival of the new bloke

Imagine bomb alley Lee in the same room as divisional retention Dane.......they ought to be on at the Edinburgh fringe.....the next Eric and Ernie.maybe

    Bring me sunshine...lol

Obviously the next coach will be someone who's been on the radar for a long time and someone the club tried to recruit before GS and DS, has extensive knowledge of high pressing German style blah blah blah

Get a proper MANAGER in on a proper CONTRACT who's got experience in recruiting footballers through SCOUTING and not a spreadsheet.

    Haha I bloody wish.

I want Stendel back. But I realise there's more chance of us appointing Her Majesty the Queen.

I fear for the worst I’m afraid. We now seem to be run by a Club modelling themselves on the Trump Administration. Increasingly detached from reality, blames anyone else for their $hit decisions, classless in their communications and would appear to not give a f.cuk about any view other than theirs. I want to be proved wrong, but my money is either on Murray or another unheard of European coach.

It’ll be Murray for the foreseeable. If he does ok he’ll get the gig full time, be a nice cheap option.
If not we’ll get some apparent next big thing from Germany/Austria who’ll no doubt have been our main target all along.

But will Murray have a buy-out clause in his contract ? They’ll need to have some way of making a profit out of giving him the job!

I don't think it'll be Murray because while ever he's in the background he's picking up a wage. If he takes the hot seat and fails, he's out of the door.

We were in for the Cowleys before, so i could imagine we might approach them again, but guess what their first question will be to the board!! And, if the board don't review their stance, the headline will be, 'Cowleys turn down Barnsley,' which could repeat itself through Lee Johnson and Paul Cook as well, although the latter is used to working on tight budgets prior to Wigan. Maybe an unheard of coach in a Premiership, or Championship team, or, of course, our old favourites, a coach from Europe, or USA. They will all start by asking the same question.

Slight contradiction my friend, in your previous post you said you wanted a manager who scouts his players & not used the spreadsheet , well thats exactly what he did in his previous stint , so he fails to meet your criteria

Not a prayer. He doesn't know anywhere North of Southampton. He spent 12 months at Burnley pleading with Bournemouth to take him back (I made that last bit up :))

What I don’t know is, if the international window for signings is closed, is it the same for managers/coaches? I assume not but not sure

I'd quite like the Cowleys, mostly on the premis they stay if we go down, as I think they are good lower league coaches

I’ve heard people with connections to the club saying it’s Howe. I’d be amazed if it is
