Paul Cook for me, particularly as we now desperately need a whole bunch of English market players in over the next week. Experience tells me it won't be him or anyone I've heard of.
Said it last 3 times. Ian Holloway. Great track record. Works with what he's got. Bonkers like but he'd love Tarn ethic as far as us fans concerned.
I don't really care that much. Paul Cook would be a decent shout, but the chances of us appointing somebody we know, or have even heard of are slim.
Literally bought into the job at Grimsby. He'd look a right tit if he walked away after everything he said about that.
Does it really matter? If they do well they'll be off next summer after the inevitable fall out with the board over recruitment.
I dont want any if the turgid british managers off the merry go round. Theres a rrason that these dinosaurs are out of work. Not even worth discussing howe and hughton as they are on mind blowing wages and have experience of playerd in a similar boat.
If we’re going down the ‘head coach’ route again then it has to be Lee Johnson, it would fit in to the ethos of our board anyways. We also now can only sign players domestically so we need a coach that knows the league and knows British players. Proven at this level and has progressed players on to big money moves which we all know that’s the board’s man in objective. Take him over another Foreign appointment who is stubborn and has no plan B any day of the week... *tin hat at the ready....
Anyone who thinks we could interest Eddie Howe is living in cuckoo land. In my own cuckoo land I'd like Stendel back. More realistically, Paul Cook. Think it will be Hannes Wolfe or someone nobody has ever heard of.
