Make or break time with the fans I think. A couple of weeks before the next game and a bit of time left in the domestic window. This situation is recoverable if they play their cards right, employ the right man and make a couple of decent signings. If we lose 3 first team players (Brown, Ludewig, Ritz) and don't replace them, then bring in an unproven manager who goes on to lose his first couple of games, it's gonna spell trouble - and the board could have no complaints at fans turning against them.
How many times have we been here tho, it just feels like groundhog Day. For me they've had enough warning signs and just haven't rectified the issues. Words certainly don't do anything for me anymore, whether that's from the CEO or other board members.
Just another year being a Tarn fan, it'd be boring supporting any other club. Imagine being a Man ure fan today, they've got spanked by an old boss at home and then are buying a teenager for 30 million, a top left back 18 million and signing one of the best target men for nowt with weekly wages that would keep an entire Barnsley ward running.
For a start we lost 2 1st team players brown and Ludwig. Losing ritzmaier is a good thing he wouldnt get in any other championship side and probley only get in a small percentage of league one and two sides. I've been watching him since January (unfortunately) and I still dont know his strengths or what he brings to the starting 11.
The club have so much to sort out i bet they don't know where to start. The owners are nowhere to be seen & big Dane is running the ship, sourcing the players, trying to sort a manager, trying to get wages of ten bob & a spuggy's egg a week approved. It's laughable & probably true. American tinpot ideas, divisional retention says it all, clueless. Who is sorting out all this mess?? This is just the start of our clubs demise i'm afraid & as bad as it is now, it will become embarrassingly worse for us all.....
Problem is that the window closes on 16th and it would be easier for a new coach to recruit before it does close. If it's left to the board, this would not be the best way to proceed. Sounds as though the board have a person/people in mind. I am just dreading hearing that ????? turned us down. If it happens two, or three times, that will put us in a mess. I hope the board will push the boat out for their top choice AND BACK HIM in this transfer window. Get it right this time, chaps.
They pushed the boat out last time though mate, paying top dollar to lure Struber from Wolfsberger (they just got it back and more). So will they push the boat out again, or are we shopping in Poundland until the covid crisis eases and we can get fans back in the stadium?
That is worrying in itself, if they did indeed push the boat out and pay a significant fee for Struber, why?? He wasn't an established manger/coach, had they just seen a few matches of his team in the Europa League and gone steaming in? Means nothing really and as we found out his tactics and system didn't work here. I don't trust that the board have enough footballing knowledge between them to make a good appointment.
