Get this lad in too - reight pairing through the middle of the park... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Hopkirk
He was pretty impressive in the playoff semi-finals/final but looked really, really raw. Flashes of brilliance alongside some awkward moments and better going forward than he was at defending. He'd be one to ease in to the team and would be back up for Williams in my eyes.
Mentioned this lad a while ago before window opened. If we stick the the formation with wingbacks he would be a great buy. He is naturally left footed so could go LWB and allow J.Williams chance to play RWB. Could be good also if we went to a 442/433 and he could play on either of the wings.
On this occasion, Stoke should just let us sign him as he will no doubt move to them from us in January regardless
If he's a full back, we might be able to beat off Championship competition with the offer of first team football. That said, wont happen.
so when Ben comes back from injury we have a commentators nightmare...... Williams to Williams to Williams.......back to Williams hmmm
Knowing us we would put into buy William's and it would turn out to be we had signed Kenneth Ooooh I say......matron........ If we end up with 3 William's it would be a right carry on ....lol
Not the type of player you would expect to make an immediate impact in the championship but someone who could potentially be at that level eventually. These type of signings would be great if we had a solid championship standard first team squad
I do hope that this doesn't mean the Oduor to Blades rumour is going to happen. I have been really impressed with Randell Williams. He would be best fit in a wide left position, whether wing-back, or left side in a front three. Very quick and pacy and with a good footballing brain in terms of quick, decisive and incisive. I would be more than happy with him, but think he replicates positions in which we are already quite strong down the left with Oduor and Styles. He scored against us when on loan from Watford to Wycombe in our promotion season - winning goal too.
Would hope not. We've been looking for a left back since Ben Williams got injured, and now we've also seen Ritzmaier leave who has played LWB as well. Surely this board wouldn't sell Odour on top of losing Ludewig and Ritzmaier and bring in some kid to replace them? They wouldn't would they? Actually, yes, they definitely would.
With these locusts in charge the minute any team above pyramid level 7 become interested in a player at the same time as us you can chalk **** on it. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s just a marketing ploy to con the fans to making us think they are really after a player when in reality it’s a load of tosh. A bid like putting a £1 bid on a convertible sports car being listed for sale on eBay. The club tell us nothing about why every player we ever go for or we are officially linked with we NEVER sign him or get them over line. Unless it’s a striker from Celtic who used to sell hot dogs and do the half time draw he is that far down their pecking order. I’m sure now we are lining up a manager and players from the alpine leather chaps league Presser FC Real reason why we cannot get any proper English players or an English manager is that the ‘talk’ of those in our country’s football world is that we as a club are just a stepping stone machine for generating profit margins. First sign or hint of an asset and it’s sold from under your feet. Still nobody from the club is willing to come out in public and answer fans questions 6 days to go and still no proper signings have a little wager on mowatt and Woodrow getting cashed in on before the deadline ....that’s probably the only certainty we can be sure of Adam Murray Christ almighty rather have Judy Murray with a telly tubby as the chief scout 6 days to show the fans what their true ambition is for staying in the championship
