if you're talking instant coffee - boiling water is too hot and 'burns' it, having the cold milk in first protects it.

You can now buy kettles that switch off at lower temps, but they're sh 11te.

Thanks, and yes what's the point of the kettle switching off at lower temp? Lol :)

so as not to burn the coffee / green tea (who drinks flippin green tea)

remember the instant coffee has already been ‘cooked’ twice. It’s freeze dried and all it needs is rehydrating

Why, if you have a T.V. With built in speakers & you turn it upside down the picture you see is upside down but the sound you hear isn't upside down?

I might be remembering this completely wrong but I think it was too thick to spray. WD-40 was literally the code name for the 40th variation of their experimental liquid. The first 39 formulas didn't work like they wanted them to and the 40th did. They never thought up a product name so wd-40 stayed.

Dunno, but my mum reckons that she goes down to Brighton and then back down home. Mother, one of them has to be up FFS!

'tis a brave man who questions his mother!

'Up' to the bigger place but 'Down' to the smaller place - nothing to do with North/South. From Barnsley she goes up to Brighton but if returning she goes down to Barnsley.

You’d love Australia’s Huntsman spider, they’re big enough to fill the palm if your hand and can run up to 40 times their body size a second.

We always travel up the A1 to Northumberland, and back down the A1 to Barnsley. The daft thing is that it actually feels that way too.

yes - feel exactly the same when driving to South Wales - always say going 'DOWN' to South Wales and going 'UP' when returning to Barnsley.

Why is Captain Birdseye allowed to sail around the ocean with a boat full of kids and no other adults on board?
