I don’t think I’ve seen a Chancellor with such openly Socialist policies in over 30 years. He wouldn’t have been allowed to get away with it in the ‘old’ Tory party. Ordinarily I’d be supportive but throwing tax payers money into ‘bad’ businesses and mortgaging my children’s/Grandchildren’s futures. Nah, poor policy.

 

He’s a politician. Never trust a politician, whatever their political persuasion or agenda.

 

Would they all have wasted billions on private companies that aren't up to the job because they donate to the party?

Would they all have failed to get correct PPE or fly a load in that weren't fit for purpose?

Would they all have wasted all summer and put us back to square one?

I agree its unprecedented but incompetence and decisions based on nothing other than looking after their own are what people are angry at.

So many decisions have been made for the wrong reasons and it's not good enough.

Out in the world some folk look at things and have an opinion that doesn't have to line up as either Labour or Tory.

He was parachuted in when Javid walked away only because he was a Boris cheerleader. What Johnson (well, Cummings) did to the staff at the treasury was a disgrace, and sunak was given the gig because he’d toe the line and be a good boy. Javid was as much a **** as the rest really but he had the balls to stand up to them and refuse to accept the dictatorship that was thrust upon his department.

Its not a party political thing, folk are genuinely worried beyond that, I talk to people everyday who are genuinely on their nerve endings worried about catching it their businesses going under.

The one's managing the virus best also haver better performing economies. It's not an accident, its leadership, decisiveness, intelligence.

Bottom line is - you can either govern or you can't. This shower have shown they can't! They're not alone, but surely we should strive to be in the top 10% not just accept we belong in the bottom 10%.

I'd back Governments led by Starmer, Corbyn, May, Cameron and Hunt (BJ's main opponent in leadership election) to all have done a better job.
