Its in their f*cking manifest that they would not do this

Must be the will of the people - after all all those voting to leave the EU knew exactly what they were voting for

American food standards high on the list of things they wanted.

coincidence this vote and the Covid 3 tier announcement are on the same day - I think not

Chicken that’s been horribly treated through it’s life , killed in gruesome circumstances .
Passed from pillar to post in unhygienic ways then chlorine washed to kill the bacteria this has caused as well as hiding the rot that set in but hey Brexit .

Chlorinated chicken, genetically modified, unnecessarily imported veg, no protection to British agriculture or the British consumer.

Erosion of production, hygiene and welfare standards.

But it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t even matter that we won’t even get a **** deal, never mind a good one. We got brexit done, we took back control and can have a blue passport, yay.

    But they're doing their best.

    What would Labour have done?

I know quite a few in here votes for Brexit, I'd love one of you to tell me why you didn't listen to warnings about stuff like this happening.
Human rights bills will be next.

Priti and her right wing press mates have already started on ‘Lefty do-gooder Human Rights lawyers’.

So whilst making noises about having the freedom to be ‘more progressive’ on human rights, they’re definitely moving in the opposite direction.

but it’s ok because Tory voters don’t believe that anyone with a criminal record, (non millionaire) foreigners or poor people deserve any rights.

It's madness isn't it? Can you imagine the working class miners who fought for their rights now being the same voters giving the Torries power to strip our human rights and food standard. This may be the strangest time in British history.

The EU did a fantastic job for decades preventing the Tories from doing stuff like this. Now we have no protection other than the ballot box every four or five years - and that is scant protection because Labour (on the odd occasion they get in with our biased and outdated electoral system) will find it impossible to reverse much of what the Tories have done.

Why are we still surprised when politicians say one thing to get into power and then do another thing when they have the power?

This. People don't realise how hard it is to reverse something once it's done, Labour rarely reverse Tory policy once in power and just push ahead with their own changes instead. Which is why Tory power is so dangerous they can change things for decades with one term, two is just dangerous but they've had an extended period in power now to change everything

Also don't forget the hygiene standards for their slaughtered beef and pork as highlighted in the channel 4 Dispatches programme from last night.

Even on that it showed liz 'I can't make my mind up' truss stating IN parliament that we would not allow US standards.

Everyone of these tory bar stewards have lied to us about everything. It's about time they were held to account!

Held to account? Don't be shocked when they get voted in again then.

They blatantly lie to our faces every single day. They break international law with little regard. They award billions of pounds to friends and cronies with zero scrutiny. And they fail to be bound by laws and regulations they insist the rest of the nation follows.

It should come as no surprise that they can't recall what they wrote on some throwaway pamphlet nearly a year ago, let alone be honour bound by it.

You won't get a sensible answer. The best you'll get is "get over it" or "lefty remoaner". Not a single Brexiteer has been able to put forward a coherent argument as to why Brexit is a good thing. All they have left is their shame, and a pyrrhic victory over those bloody lefties.

This week in Tory should be forced reading for the masses, it would wake up a few who only read Facebook for news.
