They would if deemed not good enough and no chance of a start barring an earth quake.. Might be the new Paul Digby
He should never have left the equation in my opinion. We've played games without a single right footed midfield player in the squad. Although I think murray said yesterday he was training with the U23s and looking at options to move out before the deadline day. So I sense a League One loan coming. Be great for Donny as a sweetener in the Whiteman transfer!
I agree that he should never have been frozen out. I was hoping that Struber's departure would be a trigger for him returning to the first team squad, so was disappointed by Murray's update on him, as it looks like there's no way back for him. Undoubtedly frustrating to watch, but a naturally talented player who could surely have developed further with us.
Seems a strange decision imo My only guess is that his contract allows him to be recalled with immediate effect . If and it’s a big if that’s the case then letting someone else get him match fit untill either recalled or he sees out the season because we’re ok (he says hopefully ) That’s all I’ve got on this one .
Agree. I'm not cheerleading for him to be the first name on the team sheet but he definitely made our bench stronger, gave it more balance, and you could argue he's the only real number 10 in the squad. Struggled starting games sometimes, and would vanish as well, but now and again he would change a game. The only player who could do something that would see us move 40/50 yards up the pitch in one move and be on the front foot. Also, he's right footed.
Good move if we're signing a central midfielder, foolhardy if not. Edit: Good move if we've already signed a central midfielder. If the club are to be believed, we miss out on more nailed on signings due to last minute complications than Latey McLateface misses buses.
He brings a lot of the frustrations I used to get watching Martin Bullock in his early games. The end product left you tearing your hair out, but he was exciting to watch going forward and could do things that others couldn't. Eventually he slammed in a 25 yarder vs Leicester to break his duck, to the shock of everyone inside Oakwell. Bahre has at least scored for us already, but I still have the familiar expectation of wondering how he's going to fail to score this time that I had with Bully (who, despite this, remains one of my favourite BFC players).
I reckon Murray was part of pushing Bahre out and no shock he isn't in the picture still after Struber. It's very telling that we can't find anyone to buy him, he isn't rated. Decent pacer and on the ball when he's in form, but 80%of the time no one here rated him.
