There’s nothing to see here. A no deal brexit has been on the cards for 18 months. For anyone who voted leave to moan about that is just nonsense.

No I’m quite aware and I openly admit we were lied to about leaving the EU with a deal.

Where do we catch these fish from? The North Sea and Irish Sea don't have enough Cod or Haddock to be worth fishing and we lose access to the areas that do, we mainly catch Mackerel and Herring (that we sell to that place over the Channel) and Scottish farming Salmon (aquaculture) accounts for roughly half of the fishing industry.

We can build up our fishing fleet, but in a few years the seas around the UK would be pretty empty.

Well was it a lie, it was a deal done as far as from our perspective. Like I said before if the EU refuse to turn the oven on though..

I'm not even suggesting it was a good deal, knowing the Torys it would have been designed to benefit their mates, but I will say if we end up on WTO terms it won't be a disaster. Pretty sure the sky won't fall in as you expect.

It makes me chuckle to be honest to think of Jonny Brexit sitting at home bairning about OUR FISHING RIGHTS even though he's had no interest in it ever before in his life, but is clinging to it in his quest to find a straw man argument.

but it wasnt lies on both sides not to equal measure - not by a long way
Where is this great deal we were promised
Where is the - no one is talking about leaving the single market we were promised
where are the "no downsides to brexit - only upsides"
And thats before we start on the Irish border question
The 350Million per week for the NHS
    etc etc

Very few of the public voted for a no deal brexit and had the referendum been run on those terms the result would have been different

The vote remain campain was very poorly run but it wasnt based on a total tissue of lies

I don't believe they think that at all. I think their naivety came from thinking the Uk would be honourable and abide by legal agreements mutually signed and negotiated. Once that happened, the chance of an amicable trade deal were hugely unlikely, and its telling Johnson and his cronies have changed the dialogue from no deal to australia deal. Its one in the same, its a no deal. The thing they said wouldn't happen and for all their bluster and deluded ideology, they've not done the work either in terms of negotiating for a deal, or preparing for the outcome if that failed.

If people can't yet see that this government is a disaster for the futures of everyone aside from the cronies and elite, then literally nothing will change their minds.

The good news is that it brings a likely end to the Johnson Prime Ministership around mid-January to early-February. No way that the "Men in Grey Suits" will let him get away with a Covid second wave *and* No Deal in early January...

It was never a done deal, how could it be? It was all about speil and rhetoric. I’ve never said I expect the sky to fall in, I just know that for the ordinary person in the street at least, it is not good news. When has giving up rights or having them taken away from you ever been good?

It’s a pity Johnny Brexit didn’t think about the Fishing Industry When the Tories were shutting them down.

How does WTO help increase exports from an economy based 80% (jobs and GDP) on the sale of services? How does the introduction of tariffs, non-tariff barriers and Rule of Origin under WTO rules help those industries that manufacture to continue to sell into their largest market?

It also didn’t say break the exiting rules laid out by the EU for any country leaving ratified by the U.K.
