Do you honestly believe any reds fan is going to be annoyed with that? We may all have our differences of opinion with the owners but we still want the best for the club. Getting a bit sick of this better fan crap. It is okay to have a balanced view and criticise when criticism is due, and also praise when its due.
Good days business, team now looks more balanced with plenty of options. Amazing what 24 hours bring, and a bit of faith. Remember people we once signed Paul Gibb.
I thought it was a really good day's work, but I don't regret or take back any the stuff I've said over the past couple of weeks and I still think we're a couple short. Don't think there's anything wrong with that.
Not really the better fan Titus. Where have you been. Difference of opinion is different to the bile posted on here by some. Balanced view I’m all for.
To be honest though mate I doubt the OP was aimed at you as you're more than reasoned when it comes to discussing the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to Barnsley Football Club. Others are a touch more extreme in their claims, shouts, and sometimes even made up stories. You're right though, a day for being positive and not for points scoring. Wish we were all piling in to Oakwell tomorrow!
Very good business done, would have liked to see a couple more in but being realistic the two lads we’ve fetched in are quality signings. well done BFC, now concentrate on fetching a proper manager in.
I didn't for one minute think it was aimed at me as I haven't been that vocal of late, but it does irritate me that certain posters have a crack at others for criticising the board when they are doing the polar opposite and defending it to the hilt. People are entitled to say what they want and like I say we all want the best for the team.
We kept Woodrow and Mowatt Woodrow signed a contract extension Signed Kane for over £1million Re-signed Matty James Got to be seen as very good business surely.
Let me get this right cos I might be missing something (been at work all day): We've got the same strike force that we had last season. We've lost the player who looked the liveliest up front even though he couldn't finish. We've loaned two midfield players who arrive with significant caveats about their fitness, and they will need to get up to scratch. We don't seem to have landed anyone who fits our spreadsheet - for better or worse. Have I missed something else? Sorry if so.
Got to say it's a good days work today. I feel a lot better about things now. Best signing is Woodrow as I was concerned he wanted out after not being suited to Struber's post lockdown system. Just need him scoring goals again now. Woodrow and Chaplin got double digits last season and there's no reason why they can't do it again this season. Well done to the board though as well. Gone are the doubts about selling our best players for a pittance
If you knew me Titus you would know my stance. At the fan engagements I have been one of. if not the most critical. (Of contentious issues) Verbally in the meetings of the present board and the previous owner Patrick. I go and ask questions others dare not. But I will never accuse anyone of something that’s hearsay. There’s one or two on here can testify to that.
It's been a good day football-wise. I would still have liked us to have signed a big striker, but James and Kane will hopefully manage to do what the rest of our team have failed to do so far this season, and provide our current strikers with some service. Very glad Woodrow has signed a new deal too. Well done to all at the club for getting these deals over the line.
Would you have rather we sold Woodrow today then scratched around to try and get an adequate replacement? This contract extension may give him a new lease of life and hopefully he may be picked to play in his strongest position from tomorrow onwards.
