Whatever the club does won’t please everyone. Nor will it appease either. But it can’t be run like that. Otherwise we’d never sell anyone and we’d sign 40 players each summer.

I believe (with 18 hours or so to go) that we’ll look better as a squad than we do now. It won’t be enough for some, but that’s life. But in my eyes - and unless tomorrow brings unseen events - it’ll have been a solid last day.

We’ll see. Football is crazy. Anything can happen. But I feel good. I always do though. :D

It wouldn't bother me if both Woodrow and Mowatt left tomorrow if we signed suitable replacements and not just bargain bucket lucky dips, but that isn't likely. Nothing wrong with a couple of development signings each window providing the emphasis remained on gradual improvement. That is the ingredient missing at the moment IMO. Replacements normally promising but need time to develop which is far from ideal in such a competitive league.

1 million percent behind the transfer policy of young hungry players in essence providing each time we turn players over the quality bar rises..

Don't think the board have grasped the concept yet, but we still have 24 hours..

TBH, I'll back any player in a Barnsley shirt whoever they are providing they give 100%...

    COYR.

    Announce Clough as well..

Sincerely hope that our aims are to assemble a much, much stronger, higher quality, physically competitive and coherent/complementary starting eleven and that the squad is better than at the end of last season, not than Thursday, it could hardly be weaker than that. Worried when noises from inside the club are just about clearing such a low bar.

We could lose Woodrow and Mowatt, reappoint Morais, recall Ritzmaier from his loan, move the ground to just outside Huntstanton, force the Supporters Trust to cease to exist, dismantle Preedy's grave, make a charitable donation to cover Wednesday's debts and change our shirts to Blue and White Stripes.

There'll be people on here saying it was the best window ever and to stop criticising the club.

That's enough for me, if you feel positive about it (obviously I know you couldn't say otherwise) then I'm curious to see who we bring in. I hope every deal lined up happens and we end tomorrow pretty excited.
Are you allowed to say if the coach search is going well/getting closer?

@YTBFC only met me twice. Guiseley away was the icing on a very bad cake. I did pay your taxi home to Bradford I suppose in days when DJing was a career. Oh dear. You get some flak on here, as you will do. This is a fans forum & free speech is the order of the day. Just like "Not a Podcast" was. I think we all like having a proper fan doing a lot of the iFollow type stuff. it has a real emotional edge that a PR company could never get. Whatever happens today, you don't need to make excuses. Your role is different.

Listening to all negative Nigel's puts me off reading this board and I why they bother? Pretty convinced nothing would ever be good enough. No matter what players brought in or money spent. Perhaps too much time cheating there way though Championship Manager has given unrealistic expectation that we should be competing to win premier league and champions league 3-4 years!

    Love to dream but NO!

So many businesses and clubs struggling right now financially. Rumours several league clubs could even fold. Owners are business men. We have a business model. They aren't willing to break that. I would love em to flex budget and take a few gambles. The frustrating thing is that we are so close, yet so far away from getting it right on the pitch. The right manager plus two key additions (match winners e.g. Ward or Hendrie esque) I believe we would rocket up this division. Will they take risks? No as I would like. But end of the day in difficult times my club are solvent!

You do realise you do exactly the same as those that you are taking the piss out of, don't you- you are just the polar opposite in your views? And us that are somewhere between the two find it equally tedious?

You are allowed to criticise, they're not slagging your mum off (or even your beloved club... just the ownership).

Current situation Barnsley FC is it best run club in the efl no, is it the worst no!

I want em to spend and bring in another 3-4 players.

A couple of permanent signings Whiteman and Kane, plus a couple of loans Niall Ennis and Jay Roy Grot!

We will do business today no doubt but will players be of quality needed to go straight in.

We will only be the best run club, if we stay up. That is the acid test.

That's actually Priority No. 3 though.

Priority No. 1 - Remember the keys to open the doors
Priority No. 2 - Remember to turn the lights on

Do you not wonder about why our owners bought us though?
Do you think that all the money generated is left in the club for it’s own benefit?
Do you think the owners are trying to build a side to compete in as high a league as viable?
The jury’s our for me I’m afraid. they have got rid of loads, trimmed to the bone & saved money by means of transfer fees & saving of wages.
we’ve signed a midfielder who has lots of potential & that’s a great signing, also a midfielder who is one of the best in the league if he stays fit, hope to god he does, the guy is superb, but only for 3 months.
We are desperately short up top, that’s where we need to splash wages at least plus possibly a fee & they just won’t do it.
We need goals & I'm not sure if we’ve done enough there, bearing in mind the players we have lost, who could have paid for one.
