Be happy with either, as a added bonus taking moore would wind the donny fans up, wigan fans would be spitting feathers if we appointed cook.
If as someone else said on another thread that there’s someone going to be at game tomorrow, wouldn’t be surprised to see them announced after game.
I agree with you. He was a decent player for us, but I don't get the fuss about him - his managerial record cannot hold a candle to Darren Ferguson's, say, and the pitchforks would be out if we so much as looked at him.
He did a great job at West Brom in a short space of time. done absolutely nowt wrong at Donny either. I’d love Paul Cooke, he’s been great wherever he’s been, every club has improved whilst he’s managed them, which is no mean feat. Our new manger will be untried in England & ambitious to do well, might work, might not!!
I'd accept Cook, because it would make the Wigan fan explode (again). The Wigan fan did hate him for much of last season, though, due to Cook's negative football.
Agreed that he has improved every club he's managed and he comes across as a decent chap but spent a fair bit of money in doing so, particularly at Wigan. Don't think he's someone who will be on our radar tbh.
Thought he did a cracking job at Chesterfield on a tight budget & when he left there went to Portsmouth where he won the title. Anything like those kind of returns would suit me!!
Is it just me that think Nathan Jones sides try to play good football? Luton pjj my syed decent football imo before he left first tone . Went to Stoke tried to turn them round and wasn’t given resources or time in . Returned to Luton and seemed to turn them around again . Tom Hat on lol
I wouldn't mind Cook at all but suspect he won't be what we go for. We should still arrange for a fake announcement though just to watch Etna erupt in Rugby League town.
