so in your opinion has this been a good transfer window or a bad transfer window?....
considering that many thought both Woodrow and Mowatt would be sold and that we wouldn't buy any quality.
A one word answer will do.

    Yes
But in that answer lies the problem
We all know we needed a striker, we didn’t get one. we got an midfielder who’s not fit for 3 months & a great great prospect in Kane, who the majority must be happy with.
we are still short, but we are happy, because something coming in makes a change from everyone going out.

What makes you think there’s loads of money left in the club with everything going on in the world right now? I reckon we’re around £1.25 million down on season ticket sales minimum. Plus sponsorship and most importantly ticket sales from away fans - the latter is worth over a million quid.

We’ve trimmed the wage bill but probably only in line with revenue right now, if in line at all.

I think there’s a lot to question the owners on. A lot. But actual club finances isn’t one of them for me. It’s not like we don’t sign players, we’ve just been guilty of signing too many in one go. It does all add up really quickly.

We will have to agree to disagree on this one.
I’m not one of those who think out billionaire owners should plough millions into the club, let everyone know we mean business & get overcharged for every player we buy.
But if we just hold them to the statement they made when they tipped up & bought us, that whatever revenue we created through players sales was invested back into the squad, I think They are falling well well short.
I come back to my original question, why did they actually buy us....

You haven’t answered my question though mate. I wonder that same thing on your final point, I’m just asking what makes you think we’re leaving loads of money unused in the club coffers?

I think they are taking it out rather than leaving it in. I think everything they do is for the benefit of themselves.
they are spending a fraction of the money generated. Listen, I’m not daft, I know transfer fees are crazy & big wages accompany them, but we need players in positions to compete.
they haven’t even bought the club fully yet, haven’t provided any funds & got rid of loads of players to reduce costs.
I’m not for keeping players for the sake but we are short in numbers & it could cause a problem & our striker options aren’t good enough. kane is a master stroke, great potential & he’s ours, that’s great business & got folk excited, which is great, but what they have invested in new signings again is less than what we got in.

    Frieser and Helik for £1.4m
    Kane for £1.25m
    Brittain for £400k
Brown out for £3m up front.

Looks about even to me this Summer?

I understand your feelings towards the owners. They’re valid. But there’s no evidence to say they’re taking money out. Maybe the next set of accounts will show that but I think it’s unlikely.
