I could do with following you around then, because that's not what I'm seeing.

    All cause mortality.

We are in a very different place to March, despite how it's getting reported.

No the lockdown worked it surpressed the virus but once it was lifted despite all the advice from experts that we still needed to follow certain rules to keep it surpressed many acted like Covid had never happened (the morons).
This meant restrictions have needed to be imposed again but sadly many still want to act like Covid doesn't exist which means instead of people just having to do things like wear a mask reduce social contacts etc we all face ever increasing restrictions and the ones bleating most about these are the ones who refuse to wear a mask and can't cope without their weekend house party aka super spreading event.
So we will have to endure a full lockdown because that works because it makes it easier for the authorities to spot the morons amongst us who can't control themselves or follow rules.

    Firstly thankyou :)
I just don't think short a full lockdown you can control the spread of a virus. Its what a virus does and I think its unrealistic to believe otherwise. Of course we should all try and be sensible, and some aren't.
Given how slowly growth seems to be this time, a lockdown would not be a proptional repsonse given the side effects it brings.

I agree, the supermarkets I have been to are carnage. You queue up 2 metres apart to get in, then once inside it's people everywhere, getting close up when picking things up off shelves, other people touching several items before choosing one .... I could go on.

I’m in Chapel Allerton, and the pubs and restaurants are great and adhering to the guidelines brilliantly. The supermarkets on the other hand, like sardines.

I think you would have to stand amongst them to really see if social distancing is not being adhered to as its almost impossible to see from the outside the way that people are staggered. Those stood together may well be from the same household or bubble but you may never know.

IMG_20201018_210418.jpg apparently deleted when people pointed out you don't need proof. Sounds similar to what @Jay was describing. It's a slippery slope.

you also don't need to identify yourself to the police if you're going about your lawful business, haven't committed a crime nor are suspected of doing so, if they ask for my papers that's what they'll get told.

I run a pub and it's an absolute minefield. The mask situation first we can not challenge anyone who refuses to wear a mask if they say that it's on medical grounds under the disability act

The one household situation you can meet other people from outside your household if they are in your support bubble up to 3 people however if they say they are from the same household we can not ask for proof because of data protection how we are supposed to police this I have no idea

There’s no social distancing in classrooms either, how can there be? Classrooms were hardly big enough to fit 30 kids in as it was prior to this. The only way schools can even attempt any kind of social distancing is through bubbles but, as that is a whole classroom at primary level and a whole year group at secondary, that’s still a lot of kids interacting. I know schools have to be open but as I said before they reopened fully, to do that means accepting that social distancing in them is literally impossible and to just go ahead anyway.

You could consider refusing to serve people who don’t wear a mask unless they voluntarily offer proof of exemption

Actually most men have one here. It has become indispensible for me for a number of reasons. When I go out I have numerous items wallet, ID card, phone car keys on fob , house keys loose change tissues (and now spare masks hand gel etc) etc. My wife used to rant that her handbag was not big enough to carry all this stuff around for me. Let me explain....
In UK and Northern climates, 90% of the time, the weather means you are carrying or wearing a coat, jacket anorak, hoodie or raincoat ,usually meaning lots of pockets where you can distribute above said items. However in a climate where a lot of the time you are out and about wearing just a T-shirt or shirt , chinos or cropped trousers you would have to stuff them all into two trouser pockets and end up looking like you are wearing jodhpurs not to mention it being uncomfortable. They are eminently practical. My wife says when I got one 'it changed her life'. Brownie points are always good to have!!

Feeling that you 'look like a 'Twot' implies subconscious lack of confidence in your own appearance or worse, dare I say it, your sexuality.;)

you have no idea on the underlying health issues of this fitness instructor, so you're just speculating and the reason its in the news is because its so unusual, ever thought of that?

As I understand it NHS track and trace figures show 75% of transmissions happened in homes, with 5.5% in pubs, restaurants and churches. Probably would be better avoiding your family at home and going to the pub based on that.
