    Leaving aside the weatherspoons bit
You can also meet your parents in a castle grounds - that is genuinely listed as an acceptable area - cant think why that was put in

Weatherspoons will survive this but many smaller pubs and restaurants wont hope you will enjoy next year when most of them are gone for good and Weatherspoons is your only option

We certainly aren't complaining. I think most would understand if they were told of the situation officially rather than relying on rumour though - although that is for the senior management to decide.

Not so sure about Spoons - £105m loss wasn't it?

You're making out like it's personally my fault for voting Conservative. Wingfield in Rotherham remained Labour.

I wanted a circuit break, but it sounds like that's been left too late to work in just a 2 or 3 week period now.

From the BBC updated since your last figures and even worse
    Rotherham
Find out more about the restrictions in your area

    370
cases per 100,000 people in the latest week 11 Oct-17 Oct. The average area in England had 102.
    981
cases in the latest week 11 Oct-17 Oct
    +323
    compared with the previous week
    5,063
    total cases to 20 Oct

So by my calculations thats an increase per 100K over the last week of 121 so the rate is still increasing - no idea where @MDG got his increase of 32 from unless its a month or so old

I don't know. I've had a lot of time to digest what's happened in the last year and aren't right chuffed to be honest. There is a definite North/South political divide. I tried to pretend it didn't exist. Recent events prove it does.

N/S political divide has been around for years mate. It’s only getting wider and you are just beginning to recognise that fact.

I think they tried to mask it with HS2 and talk of Northern Power Houses.

Surely he will have asked what number per 100000 it will take to go to tier 2 and tier 1 so he can pass the message on so his people have some hope and know what it will take. It looks though that when you're chucked in a worse tier you're forgotten about, giving locals no hope for the future.

HS2 the biggest white elephant going. Paid for by the many for the benefit of the few.

It's especially redundant now that covid has forced companies to embrace working from home and normalised it.

Top 4 fasting rising areas for positive Covid tests in Barnsley over last 7 days were:

    1. Thurnscoe
    2. Ardsley / Stairfoot
    3. Wilthorpe / Barugh Green
    4. Bolton Upon Dearne

2 areas there are real outliers, Wilthorpe maybe hospital staff related.

Sheffield rates coming down, theirs seemed Uni and student related so can see them going back to Tier 2 first as it’s been confirmed each area can move independently

All tier 3 means is businesses suffering more and the mental health of people suffering more. If an area with high infections had a proper 3-4 week lockdown then in the long run the businesses supported during that time would be in a much better position as they would be tier 1 quicker.

As I said on another thread. This is thanks to Tim Martin the Wetherspoons boss for his help during the brexit debate. Fill yer boots, you’re open and we’ve closed most of your competition.

Jarvis had his pants down in accepting the first offer and not at least trying to negotiate a better deal....

The money is relative to the population of the area. Greater Manchester has 1.5 million more people than South Yorkshire.
