I would say if in a support bubble? I guess if kids are school age it's a bit risky for the grandparents.
The facts are yes, 1 grandparent can.... We rely too much on the media these days - as if you take the time to read the legal text on it all, it actually legally states only for one grandparent per household can look after them. That means, when you drop the kids off, if there are 2 grandparents, one of them must go out for the day. Barmy really, but that’s the actual law on it. Loads of small bizarre detail is in there - just that the government summary and therefore the media summary is quite short. In reality, 2 grandparents looking after kids is not an issue.
Yes definitely though I’m not sure what happens if someone from your support bubble is from a tier 1 or tier 2 area.
Believe it that's its still allowed. The advice I read just said to try and keep it to people as local to you possible.
yeah think you are right but the guidance says not to travel in or out of tier 3 areas unless essential. I guess it counts as essential though.
Yes that was how read it. As unsaid in the travel thread the guidance for travelling in and out of tier 3 areas is rather vague anyway. Doesn't say you can't just days "try" to avoid it.
Yeah it's fine. Just got to be same grandparents so mine couldn't go to my wife's parents one day and then my dad's the day after.
