We should have gone to plan b and brought on the big centre forward we signed in the last window...... oh wait
Taking Brittain off was a mistake. Replacing with Thomas was a massive mistake. Offered absolutely Zilch and the one time he had possession in their box he passed it straight to a Stoke player. My patience with Thomas is running out We were painfully slow in their half. That game was there for the taking. So frustrating.
And this is why the club cannot give Murray the job. I’m not advocating that they should, I want a new man in, but they can’t give it Murray because the fans have no patience for him whatsoever. There’s too much pressure on him and the relations between fans and club would be toxic in no time were he to be given the job and we went on a bad run.
Just don't think he's shown he has what it takes. Either now or in the past. There are better managers out there and we need one asap
Yeah but Stoke basically brought everyone back to defend. It's not easy to break that down. We had no space to move into and therefore turned into a poor man's Man City, playing it in front of them. We should have kept running about alot. But we stopped.
We've looked far better under him than we did under Struber this season We played some good football against Bristol City and I thought we played some even better football at times tonight I certainly wouldn't be too downbeat if he got it until the end of the season for example
I agree with that. But we’ve looked a much much better side both tonight and on Saturday. We’ve dominated the game tonight, created a ton of good chances, and should’ve won. We’ve drawn because of young keeper’s mistake. The fact we couldn’t find a winner has very little to do with Murray.
We came away with a point because Souttar and Brown fluffed the best two chances of the second half. We played with an extra man for a third of the game and still couldn't win. We lost a lead twice.
I'm not blaming him for tonight, the point I'm making is that his past managerial stint and his caretaking role with us hasn't been standout.
He had three chances to find a yellow shirt second half. The third he played behind everyone. When Brittain went for goal first time from tight angle. Why didn't he just roll it back to Mowatt?( Who looked as exasperated as I was).
Probably because he was quite aware that if he’d done that the ball would have ended up ten or fifteen yards over the bar
