Looks like we wont be able to buy stuff online from inside the EU next year

Or from outside as companies that do this for all 28 EU nations will still do it for 27 but are unlikely to do a second set of stuff just for the UK

This is a huge issue no one stuck on the side of a bus

In 4 years you won't be able find anyone who says they voted for Brexit, it'll be a complete mystery as to how leave won.

On the other hand, when we prove to be successful in trading with the world everyone will claim to have voted for Brexit, a Woodstock moment in the collective.

It's just madness isn't it? I can say from first hand experience and knowing others in business, that UK companies are losing custom from EU based business and UK subsidiaries with EU headquarters because of the perceived frictions and complexity, as well as likely increased cost.

Thats not just companies selling products either, but services too.

We've heard for years about the red tape of the EU, but I can't get my head around how much complexity this vat change will make for businesses who DO actually manage to succeed in trading with EU based companies. The declarations form every quarter was supremely easy to do.

I still can't believe we won't have a deal in some way, even if its just a very bare framework that alleviates some of the calamity. The pathetic way the government have suddenly suggested Barnier has said something different to allow takes to continue just shows how desperate some in downing street are to make something happen and spin it as a success.

    Nowt to worry about then...
Just for my peace of mind though, could you point me in the direction of any 'great business' our current government have done so that I can believe they're about to become world beaters.

Yes, when we're successfully trading pork farmed in our glorious floating herds of airborne Gloucester Old Spots.

It’s been done to death, I’m tired of trying to understand why we’d intentionally shoot our selves in the foot. someones going to mention fish soon.

Because a large % of the British public are gullible idiots, which allowed people like Nigel Farage to prey on them for personal gain.

The think I cant work out is even if I was a racist and didnt want foreigners here I wouldnt be able to see why completely torpeding the country like this was a good thing. Id have been campaining for close as possible links with the EU - customs union single market etc but just for immegration controls

Who actually thinks any of this will end well - its far worse than Project Fear forecast

I agree mate, sold a lie that immigrants were robbing from them by the people actually robbing from them.

It’s beyond parody, still those new Tory MP’s from areas such as the north east really stepped up to look after the areas kids yesterday.

Well, pull yourself up by the bootstraps and set-up a company that makes the things that you want. Sarcasm, btw.

I’ve yet to see a positive outcome for Brexit. Very concerned for January.
