Well a game with so many positives it's hard to know where to start. We gain our first victory of the season with a scoreline that definitely flattered QPR in the end as they fell apart in the second half. We could and should have scored every time we went forward second half. How we didn't score at least 7 or 8 is baffling, it could quite easily have been 12. Brittain looks a very good player, definitely a great find. He looks like he's played for us for 12 months, doesn't look out of place at all. Matty James is just quality, definitely a class above anything we have here. Everything just seems so effortless, he's a Rolls Royce of a player for sure. Mowatt looks a different player when James is on the field, getting more forward. This can only be good for us in the longer term. I think Valerian will be quietly pleased with the performance and the result. That said there's still definitely a few things for the new gaffer to work on. The first 15 minutes we were under the cosh and looked like a mistake waiting to happen in the defence, even 2nd half when they were down to 10 men. Plus of course we need to work on our finishing lol Good night one and all, Up the Reds
I would definitely be stressing the positives to the players, confidence is key and no reason we cant get something in Saturday.
