I know many folk have had issues, and received refunds. But I have just been stitched for a tenner for the THIRD time due to it jumping straight to PayPal once I have entered my code. I let it ride, for the other two, just couldn’t be bothered for sake of a tenner...twice, even though on one occasion I only got the fated bouncing ball for the full game!!! But I have bought three season tickets and am now an additional thirty quid down so my patience has worn thin. Can anyone, who has pursued an iFollow refund, point me in the right direction. Will happily give the refund to charity rather than pay for a service, twice, that I am not receiving. Thanks. The Perm.
Email ifollow@efl.com Explain what has happened and include a copy of the email from BFC with your code May be busy today with it being a match day but you ought to get a response early next week
That's actually made me feel a bit better - I thought I was the only one that did that. For the QPR game, i ended up paying a tenner and then realised it was on the red button.
Like loko said, go on their live chat. Tell them what you just said on here. I did it on Tuesday and they cancelled my payment before it was even taken from my account
I'm still waiting for a refund after having had the same problem. I've emailed them and theyve responded but still waiting. Appalling service.
No replays on the red button. I watched the QPR game on Ifollow. It froze on about the 63rd minute after a couple of minutes of inaction, we switched to the red button to discover we had missed the 3rd goal. Jr. Didcot Red 3 suggested if we move back to Ifollow we could get this goal. We switched back, the screen was still frozen but when it resumed it jumped from 63 minutes to 67 minutes. I have had my problems with Ifollow but as a ST holder, any money I have paid in error has been promptly refunded.
Is it a glitch in the system, or is it deliberate profiteering? Some people will think "it's only a tenner" and "it's going to the club anyway" and not claim their refund. Refunds are issued to anyone who brings this to iFollow's attention, but the system will flag all accounts where a voucher has been entered and payment also received, yet payments aren't being automatically refunded, you have to claim it. Does the club receive a percentage of a payment they're not expecting, that comes from an account to which a voucher has been issued, from which they would have no knowledge that payment has been received? Multiply the number of errors you've heard about just from this small community that is the BBS by the number of fans of all clubs who are entitled to vouchers and the amount of money being taken in error becomes huge. Fixing this issue would be very straight forward, yet it remains.
I know, continuously changing the system. No need to keep doing this, in fact there shouldn't be any need to keep putting codes in for every game. Over complicating the system unnecessarily
Im going to write to our club. While iFollow isnt under their control, im getting no response to my last 4 emails when my code wasn't accepted a couple of games ago. The second time code hasn't worked. This in addition to issues i had when i used to have a iFollow sub pre COVID. I am annoyed that i paid for season tickets and if iFollow is the compensation for missing games then it aint working. 50% success so far with streams isnt a good record. The least i expect is iFollow EFL to respond and engage on the topic. First time it took 3 weeks to get conclusion. This time no response at all. My intention is to ask the club to stop sending me links and refund me a tenner each time we miss a live game. Club keeps rest of my money. Do people think that a fair compromise?
I’ve been charged a tenner after doing what I normally do ie, Promo code and bank details. Posted on the Chat site on IFollow and got the following: Unfortunately we’re not able to provide any billing assistance on this channel. Please send in your request to ifollow@efl.com so we can review. Please include your registered email, plus the club you follow. In the meantime, if you have additional queries feel free to reach out to us.
If you follow the instructions you should get a refund. I thought the Ifollow staff were pretty good.
