We didn’t get one. Thank you, Dane.

    You reap what you sow...

We’re now seeing George Miller and Victor Adebayajo being used as our 3rd and 4th striker - neither cut it in league 2 by the way...

And let's pre-empt those who say that this only comes up when we lose - the comments were still there (although admittedly more light-hearted) when we played QPR. We've been desperately in need of a half-decent striker since Moore left.

Our strikers honestly look like competition winners they are that far out of there depth

Dane probably thought we were in safe hands with Chaplin and Schmidt, we've only got Cauley that's championship standard the other 4 want replacing

I like Chaplin, and I think he's got a place in the team (although I always said that about Dagnall too, so take from that what you will). I'm rapidly running out of patience with Schmidt.

What is a real concern is that I find myself wanting to bring on a Centre half in Halme over Miller or Victor. That really is worrying.

No offence to Schmidt, Victor or Miller. Guessing they’re lovely lads. Just not very good at their job to this standard.

I'd say a place in the squad but not the team, too much of a nearly man for me and coasts nicely under the radar far too often.

Frieser, Schmidt, Adeboyajo, Miller all way out of their depth. Chaplin is marginal too.

I doubt he thought anything of the sort. He might have thought we could just about get away with them.

Frieser and Chaplin are decent enough. Jury is out on Schmidt.

If there was another good striker in there with Woodrow, those 3 might be good options. We’re lacking when Woodrow is out though.

Chaplin's way off form for me. Plenty of effort closing down yes, but tonight when well placed moving towards the box he sliced it and didn't even hit the target. He also missed a good opportunity against Watford when he appeared to slip slightly and shot quite tamely at Foster.

As for Frieser? Yes, he puts in a lot of effort closing down, but I want more than that from a front player. Would sooner have had Luke Thomas in his place.

But we all can see that we're very short up front in both height and skill when Woodrow's out.

I can't decide whether having Schmidt, Adeboyejo and Miller as our available strikers in the Championship is funny or thoroughly depressing.

I think Halme would be a better option than either of Victor, Miller or Schmidt. I honestly thought there was something in Schmidt but these past 2 performances have shown that he’s nowhere near IMO. He’s done no more in the two starts than he does in his 10 Minute cameos.

at least with Halme you have some physicality and mobility and he’s pretty deadly in the box ‍♂️

To score goals on a regular basis in this league you need pace and strength at the top end of the pitch and we haven’t got either and I include Woodrow in that.

I think we had 14 players on strike tonight.

I genuinely would rather have 37 year old John Stead upfront than Schmidt.
