Wallton Brittain Sol Anderson Helik Kane James Mowatt Styles Chaplin Woodrow 1. Strong back line 2 Midfield Hard working 4 All like to score goals 3 Forwards Only two forwards that score goals
Don't think Kane has the pace to be a winger and Helik doesn't appear to have the ability to play left back.
Sometimes you have to try these things.Last week manager tried playing Freezer at right back, that didnt work either.
With those personnel they would have to play 3-5-2. Personally I don't have a problem with that. It's as good as anything else we play.
Far too much shoehorning there for my liking. Walton Sollbauer Anderson Helik Brittain James Mowatt Styles Frieser Woodrow Chaplin Presuming they're all fit and available. I'd say that's our best 11, barring maybe Jordan Williams.
No point speculating Captain Cuckoo Bananas thinks Frieser is a right back and Styles is a left back we're doomed.
That’s quite an extreme nickname given Styles has played, and played well, at left wing back long before Ismael started here.
Styles had a shocker on Tuesday because he kept having to come into midfield bailing Simoes out who kept being bussled off the ball. It meant there was space down our left for Moore.
I think this team is a decent team at this level. It’s just been hard the last couple of weeks with injuries but if we can get that 11 playing regularly, with the inclusion of Jordan Williams (like you I’d maybe argue that he should be in the starting 11), Kane and Oduor whenever needed, then I think we’ll be fine.
I’m not disagreeing with you, he also got caught out several times by Sarr against Watford last Saturday. Just more commenting that Styles has been playing that position long enough now to probably call it a position he can play so not I don’t think it’s the new manager playing him in a random position.
Yeah I was a bit harsh about Styles the lads just happy to play even though it's to his detriment. What concerned me about Ishmael was we had Oduor and Halme on the bench that could have both slotted in better than Frieser at right back. I've got a bad feeling about this appointment and aren't affraid to admit it.
Not sure I’d have wanted Halme there, I think he’d have looked lost trying to run up the right wing. Oduor would’ve been my choice in the team, like how we finished against Watford, but I’m sure he has his reasons why he went with Frieser. I guess he knows him from before or maybe he wanted a right footer on the right side. It’s still way too early for me but 6 points out of 9 available gives me hope for him. I know QPR had 10 men but we literally could’ve had 10 and everyone on here was purring after that (which takes a lot let’s be honest), Watford were a prem side last year and were one of the very few sides to beat Liverpool and I guess we had a bit of luck in the game but we were still good. Cardiff is just Cardiff. When do we ever play well against them?
Why's that SD? He's been here only 2 weeks so he's hardly got his feet under the table so to speak. He's only been able to do about 5 or 6 full days training with the squad due to the fixture schedule.
I've never seen him have a good game in that position. The things he does when on the ball aren't a problem, but he's so spectacularly out of position, all the time, that the opposition have free reign to put in cross after cross from our left side. I don't blame him, he's a great player, but he's not a left back or a left wing back. He doesn't tend to look bad in that position because people remember his contribution when in possession, what they forget is the gaping hole we have at left back. You can't look bad if you're simply not there.
