    Only just seen it. From reading the description in the matchday thread on here, I assumed that he scuffed a very easy chance, which only just trickled in. The reality was that he still had a lot of work to do, and that although it wasn't super powerful, he hit it back across the 'keeper in the direction he was running from, completely wrong footing him. In my opinion it was an absolutely superb bit of finishing. I've seen plenty of chances like that blasted high, wide, hit straight at the goalie etc. The chance might have been a gift, but it still needed putting away.

    I thought he did really well

    the keeper who passed it to him then dived past the shot might be thinking he could have done better :)

    I couldnt understand those knocking it at the time I thought it was a great finish and good awareness to intercept the pass. Yes their goalie made a mistake but he capitalised on it what more could we want

    I think it's a good finish. Once he's decided to shoot there wasn't really anywhere else he could go from that angle that guaranteed it was on target.
    I think he should have squared it to be honest but I'm bloody glad he hit it goalwards instead.

    Erm Boris. There that's better

    The goalie made a mess, Chaplin hit it towards the goal, and the goalie compounded his original error by moving too far over his goal.

    It wasn't a great finish without their keeper scrambling out of the way.

    Good on Chaplin for itercepting and keeping it on target.

    It was a great finish from him.

    Cauley would’ve given him an almighty glare if he’d not finished it that’s for sure. And the BBS would probably have had Conor shot by now. But thankfully it went in!

    That's the point though, his momentum when trying to recover took him back too far, hence why Chaplin put it into the corner which he did.

    I was reading a match report coming from the Derby camp which described Chaplin as " Tapping " the ball home , now that is the understatement of the year , he had plenty to do , it was a great finish .

    Not an easy finish at all. I think he took it well. Put it in the right area and ok it lacked pace but the accuracy was just as important.
