Just listened to Amy MacDonald do an acoustic version of Mr Brightside by the Killers. Clear as day she sings,

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea.

Ever since that song was released me and the missus have sung along to it with the words,

Chelsea, turning saints into the sea
Even re-listening to the Killers it sounds like Chelsea
    Any other examples?.

    Ciao Adios by Anne Marie.

Listen to the chorus... I was convinced she was singing.

    “Shower the horse, I’m done”

From the same song "Open up my eagle eyes, cos I'm Mr Brightside"
For years I assumed it was some sort of Action Man reference...

Madonna's ode to the scouse actress on Ray of Light "Anna Friel like I just got home, Anna Friel"

Brilliant thread this..... For ages I thought that....

"Kick a chicken with it” was in Will Smith’s
    Gettin’ jiggy with it

"It doesn’t make a difference if we’re naked or not” was in Living On A Prayer

Will Young - Think I better deep fry now

Blink 182 - What's my age again - I walk alone, to get the feeling right (it's actually, I wore cologne)

I used to follow a group on Facebook for fans of the band Idles. 50% of the posts on there are people asking for clarity over potentially misheard lyrics. One of the most misheard ones is the chorus to the song, Never fight a man with a Perm. The chorus is "concrete and leather" repeated. Some people hear this as "complete a lemon".

My brother and I used to argue over, the Kooks, Naive. He was convinced that the line, "I know, she knows, that I'm not fond of asking", was "I know, she knows, that I'm not from Nebraska".

    Bat out of hell
    I thought the line was
CILLA BLACK FAN ON A BIKE
it was only when I listened closer that it was SILVER BLACK PHANTOM BIKE
