I obviously find this as hilarious as everybody else, but it does mean the chances of them mugging us 1-0 in December have gone up from 90% to a near certainty....
One little piggie says he doesn't care how they win games RIGHT NOW. I never thought they did? Wednesday must be the most boring team to watch, ever. Perpetually lower midtable, occasional relegation. On the field - narrow wins via penalties or deflections. I thought now they've got Pulis, they'd be happy to have an excuse for it. S**t club.
I'd normally agree but they're bad, my mate is a Wednesday fan and he says Pulis better be a miracle worker. If we use the Derby blueprint away from home we'll win a few.
Have to say found him very boring on Sky Sports. Soccer Saturday not as good as it once was. How Clinton Morrison has got that gig is beyond me.
Would love to see who they approached for the jobs, so many recently retired players of all races and sexes who are more engaging and knowledgeable.
Even with 12 points deducted I didn’t think Wednesday would be relegated. There are too many good players there - for example Bannan has to be one, if not the best midfielder in the league. Now Pulis has arrived I still think they won’t get relegated. BUT - he is an old fashioned type of manager who only knows how to play in a certain old fashioned sort of way. Plus the new players brought in are players identified by Monk - and are unlikely to fit what Pulis wants. Note - this doesn’t happen at Barnsley - as a new manager has to fit the playing system. So all in all - I can’t see Wednesday being relegated - but their football is going to be dire to watch.
If the answer is Pulis they should have stuck with Monk who was hard done by. It wasn't his fault they started on minus points and after a lot of years with the majority of the team being the same guys on stupid money due to long contracts it was surely always going to be nothing more than a rebuild season to get all the fresh new players up to speed.
Fans hated him though and tbh he was hardly pulling up any trees , apart from that brief period where they were near the top last season. Can't imagine being a fan of theirs, truly dire football season after season, a falling down stydium, and paying 40 pounds a match for the privilege.
