Anyone watching build up to the race today? It’s going to be carnage. Just had £2.50 e/w on Raikkonen at 200/1 as a punt, could see anyone winning this.

I'll be watching. Raikkonen had a brilliant session yesterday, I think he could have been higher up but think his tyres were dead by the time of his final run. If it's wet today, I fancy him for a podium, otherwise I can't see past Max.

Quite nice not to have Merc dominating. Really not a fan of Hamilton, he's brilliant of course, but anyone would think he's unbeatable. And I think he's a bit of a hypocrite outside the car, but he's clearly got many fans and he's made a good living.

Was a huge fan all my life but watching the Mercedes drivers literally coast around the track and still lap the rest of the field, as it was a few years ago, and their total domination hasn't subsided, took away all the interest I had. It simply wasn't competitive.

Not the fault of Mercedes, a fault with all the other teams who didn't step up, but it killed it for me and they're still not close enough to really challenge.

Verstappen and Stroll had the fastest cars all weekend and still couldn’t beat Hamilton.

He’s an absolute legend. Love the guy.

I’m the same, used to love a few years ago through the Alonso years but have lost interest until this season when there’s not been much else to do but watch stuff on tele. I know Hamilton won today, but that was nothing to do with his car, it was a phenomenal drive and an incredible way to match Schumacher’s record.

Hamilton is clearly a fantastic driver. It's a shame for spectators he hasn't had better competition over the years, whether that be from the poor performance of other cars, or, to a lesser extent, the driving talent around during that time.

I think he'll look for an 8th title then walk away. Personally, I'd like him to leave Mercedes and race in a Ferrari before he calls it a day.

Thing is, he left the great McLaren team and everyone said he was mental. Six world titles later...

The sport has tried allsorts in recent years to change things up, to try and level the playing field, but it matters little.

I personally loved the refuelling era the most, the 90's especially, as I was growing up. Senna, Mansell, Prost, Patrese, Berger, Schuey, Hill etc. But in his debut season up against defending two-time champion and teammate Alonso, I fell in love with Hamilton's racing style. Like watching Senna. And to see his entire career and how it has developed, it's been special.

I believe that the other teams have let F1 down rather than Mercedes ruining it. Both Ferrari and Red Bull spend enough money to challenge. Mercedes have spent it on the best driver and more effectively on the best car.

I’m not picking a fight here, but where do you see the hypocrisy? Is it on sustainability issues?

Verstappen not in Hamilton’s class all he does his drive round with his foot to the loot overtaking everybody.
    More to it than that.
