Go round calling people playground names like nut nuts and God knows what other unspeakableness? That seems to be the only sackable offence, up to date.

I wonder if they meant Heidi Allen UTC ? She was born and lived for a time in Notton near Bretton.
Patel is a Southerner and represents Witham. Her husband works in the City for NASDAQ and is an
elected representative for the London Borough of Bexley.

The sky reporter outside Downing Street was talking about the likely outcome of the Patel enquiry.
Said he believed she would keep her job but might have to make an apology.
If this was the case surely making an apology is an admission of guilt.
You can’t apologise for something you did not do.

It will be the same as what happened with John Bercow, plenty of allegations but nothing happens apart from some sort of acknowledgement.

Patel will just apologise, saying if that's how her actions have come across but it was unintentional which is basically as the report says. So it's an easy get out on this one. If the report had found obvious intentional bullying, the situation may be different.

It's telling that the loyalist sycophants who went along with DePfeffels ******** are protected against anything that they should be sacked for.

There hasn't been a government like this for protecting those who should be sacked for wrongdoing. But this was always the trade. Support DePfeffels lies, get never ending protection as a result.

Yet if there's anyone close by who is challenging Johnsons position as "leader" they'll be canned for stepping on the cracks in the pavement.

PM finds she’s done nothing wrong and the investigator has resigned.

    Hardly surprising.

But she didn’t do it on purpose! So that’s ok then! Nothing to see here then! Boris has decided she’s ok so we should just accept his word! She’ll not apologise - she may say Sorry if I have upset anyone! That is not an apology - “I’m sorry for my actions” is an apology

Glad to see 1 person of the 3 involved has some integrity. Of course it's not the 2 who are in government...

It’ll be ‘sorry you’re upset’ not ‘sorry I upset you’.

This was always going to be the outcome. DePfeffel has no shred of decency and even from his schooldays, people warned he believes he is above law and any set rules.

Be it a ministerial code, mayoral ethics, register of interests, international law, a promise, a manifesto. It's all the same to dePfeffel. A means to an ends at the time, and when it's no longer convenient to his personal needs and ambitions, its simply ignored and reinterpreted,

I just wish the tories would start to call this out properly. This man is dangerous, even if "unintentionally*

I've always been mildly amused vile is an anagram of evil (or vice versa). Both very fitting in Priti Patels case.

When live and let live becomes a passive acceptance of wrong doings, and particularly by those in a position of privilege, power and influence, then it is a sorry state of affairs

You're right it is. She should be able to do her job without resorting to bullying, consistently, in 3 different departments she's been placed (including one where she was sacked for misconduct).

I do however believe that such people should not be tolerated or be allowed to live by laws unavailable to you and me.

I only expect fairness and consistency. And with this government more than any other, I'm continually left feeling disappointed at best.
