My union colleagues tell me she's a delight.....she doesn't listen, she likes the title not the work that goes with it. She's always trying to be the strong woman, always looking to punish. This one size fits all approach isn't how you keep folk safe. She's playing to the small Tory gallery. She should have stayed working for big tobacco, she's good at selling death and illness whilst smirking.
It's still going on, that's why folk have been resigning right, left and centre within that work area. They brought in experts to window dress to the public and press, all whilst dragging out the compensation process. She's equally liable, if not worse.
Mrs May also was extremely good at losing cases in court, all at the expense of tax payers money. She also put Border Force Officers lives in danger with her rhetoric. Border Force do more than arrest and remove, pastoral visits checking on families wellbeing were treated as enforcement visits. It got alot of people scared and anxious.
The report found that Pritti Patel used bullying behaviour. Young Nudger complains of bullying on the BBS, and then states he backs the bully Pritti Patel. Why am I not surprised
Hilarious isn't it? Workplace bullying is apparently fine, but as soon as he gets called out on his use of racist language he starts whinging to admin and threatening legal action.
Thought there were some interesting comments here https://www.theguardian.com/comment...me-secretary-behaviour-adviser-standards-quit
The report has not been released (after being suppressed for 3 months) just a diluted statement of finding and DePfeffels other universe interpretation. Downing Street has refused to confirm or deny DePfeffel asking for the report to be altered to find her innocent. Phil Ruttnam (currently suing for constructive dismissal) was not asked for evidence, and he has poured scorn on the claim she was given no feedback. He cites 3 instances, the first being just one month after she was given the job. Change isn’t easy, especially if you try to do it through fear. But change comes from making tough decisions that abide by the rule of law and engender trust. Not by intimidation and making people collapse.
I said I have witnessed "first hand" certain elements of 'machinations and attitudes' within the Civil Service that resemble the behaviour attributed to Patel. It never ceases to amaze me how some on here cannot wait to leap, almost gleefully, on every single negative report against the Tory Government and individuals using expletives and abuse that they would never say to their face. As I said the complaints against her may bfully justified but WE on this BB don not know and rely on media. Many people on here are highly selective when choosing their source based on their political viewpoints ..... Err ......you do know who the headed the investigation don't you .….Sir Alexander Claud Stuart Allan KCB (born 9 February 1951) is a senior British civil servant who was, until 2011, the chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee and Head of Intelligence Assessment for Her Majesty's Government So.……. hardly an independent review then!! A senior civil servant finding that another Senior Civil Servant has been bullied!!!!
If, as he claims "she was given feedback" it would be recorded in some minutes, meeting notes etc. So he should be able to prove it. Otherwise it is his word against hers. Something as serious as bullying, whether it be accusations against a minister or not , would be handled in an official capacity.
And you need some some balls to challenge. (People that work hard do.)See what the consequences are. I speak from experience ten times over. Roll over and have thi belly tickled along wi thi mate. Who happened to be a union rep.
A bit like all those on here calling her a 'goblin', 'evil' vile' etc without having met her and relying totally on media reports and heresay.
All been done before. The ‘head office’ of every department has estate all over the country. In the 80’s the dept of employment & education came to Sheffield, DHSS to Leeds, so in Yorkshire we now have DWP and DoE headquarter staff. Also a smattering of cabinet office. There’s a reason that every ministry still has office space in London. To make them accessible to ministers, who work in London. the only way to get all senior civil servants up north is to move parliament up north. and on your other assumption; you couldn’t be more wrong. In my experience, the civil service code runs through top civil servants and the biggest departments are the most dynamic places you could wish to work. when Covid hit; the DHSC reprioritised its business in a matter of weeks to deal with a worldwide pandemic that enabled them to save many lives. DWP redesigned the UC system, and diverted thousands of project and head office staff to deal with millions of new claimants in a matter of weeks. HMRC designed a whole new payment system for furloughed workers, them the self employed from scratch. Meanwhile the government decided to outsource track and trace to ‘a mate’, and chucked billions of ££s at it. How’s that going? You’ll not find a single expert who won’t tell you that for 1% of the money, the existing regional health networks couldn’t have done it better. I’m not suggesting the Civil Service is perfect, but having worked for national and local government, for large and small private companies and been self employed, I can tell you that no one deals with ‘change’ better. What’s wrong with Patel as Home Secretary is that she doesn’t like being challenged or told she can’t do whatever she wants. Because what she wants to do would be illegal. Back to the civil service code; it is literally their job to tell her those things. As with Trump; What we’re seeing here is a bunch of under qualified ministers, trying to break the law, and the civil service trying to keep them straight. The fact it’s the civil servants losing their jobs ought to make us all very afraid.
Going on Boris’s repututation. I’d say Boris has summat in her. ( Major v Currie setting a precedent mi lord)
he’s been independent enough for the past 9 years then. I guess that’s what you are saying. its a patsy role anyway when the PM decides as judge and jury. as usual you choose to get upset about the man who is at least trying to do the right thing.
But Corbyn. Anti semitist ? No. Only accused of mis handling. Terrorist Sympathiser ? No Racist ? No Patel Bully. ? YES, not by the media btw. But an official report.
Err...... what part of "Sir Alex Allen IS a Senior Civil Servant" do you not understand? Can't you read? What do you mean by the last sentence; particularly, "as usual" I can see why I had you on ignore for so long. You are incapable of sensible debate.
