Even Bob Ross Joy of Painting has a warning.
Contains abuse of two inch brush being slapped on table leg.

Oh for pitys sake, it was a light hearted programme about Kenneth Williams. I didn't expect sex, violence or abuse and guess what, I didn't get it.

Great, then you could ignore the warning as you expected.

Guess what, not everyone has the same life experience as you. Suck it up and sit through the 5 second warning and accept that if it helps even a single person then it's worth it.

I’m more annoyed by reminders. You’ve been watching a program for the best part of an hour, there’s an ad break and they start the next part by reminding you what the programs about. How stupid do they think you are to have forgotten in the space of 4 minutes or less.

    Time fillers.

The programme may say it is 1 hour long but in truth it isn't.

Never start or end on the hour.

4 or 5 ads during of about 2 to 3 minutes.

Then a constant reminder of what you have just seen followed by more time filling of "still to come or coming up after the break"

So in reality you get about 25 to 30.minutes of content.

You’re right JT but it still insults my intelligence. If they have to pad out the show to that extent, repetitive information from the voice over included, maybe it should be a half hour show not an hour.

Well I just watched a film i'd recorded on channel 4 a couple of weeks ago called Atomic Blonde. I don't recall seeing a warning either. It featured all girl sex scenes with Charlize Theron. I was so offended I had to watch it three times as I wasnt sure just how offended I actually was.:D

Have you thought that it may be to encourage more people to watch it?
I know loads of mates (ahem) who'd watch a film if they'd seen warnings about nudity and scenes of a sexual nature.

I thought EastEnders and Coronation Street storylines have been disturbing Chantelle's death with the knife in EastEnders was horrific. I'll never look at a dishwasher the same again. I never realised they were so dangerous. Also Laura was in tears watching Coronation Street the other night with the young lad in Hospital. Inconsolable. I tried telling her it wasn't real but she wasn't having any of it.
