    The police have said it's a council issue and not their responsibility.

    Am I missing something? I thought the law was the law but the police seem to be saying they have no jurisdiction on people breaching covid laws.

    I heard they were going to fine him toupee but they cut it too fine so have gone away to mullet over.

    I’d assume that Police are in charge of the dispersion of large gatherings (illegal raves etc) but Council are the ones to fine when premises are open when theyre told they shouldnt be.

    So in this instance, it’s the business breaking COVID guidelines, not an individual?

    I’m not sure, COVID guidelines change so much, i’ve lost track.

    Might be wrong, but I believe it comes under Environmental health, which district councils have responsibility for.
